Chapter 22

Total Verses: 73

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

وَمَن يَقْنُتْ مِنكُنَّ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَتَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا نُّؤْتِهَا أَجْرَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهَا رِزْقًا كَرِيمًا

31.            Waman yaqnut minkunna lillahi warasoolihi wataAAmal salihan nutiha ajraha marratayni waaAAtadna laha rizqan kareeman
And whoever among you will obey Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and will do righteous deeds -- WE shall give her (the wives of Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) twofold reward and WE have prepared for her honorable provisions (Rizqun Karima).

يَا نِسَاء النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَاء إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا

32.            Ya nisaa alnnabiyyi lastunna kaahadin mina alnnisai ini ittaqaytunna fala takhdaAAna bialqawli fayatmaAAa allathee fee qalbihi maradun waqulna qawlan maAAroofan
O wives of Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), you are not like ordinary women.  If you have fear of Allâh then do not speak in soft voice so that a person with bad heart may not become greedy (move with desire), but speak in clear and straightforward manner.

وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَى وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

33.            Waqarna fee buyootikunna wala tabarrajna tabarruja aljahiliyyati aloola waaqimna alssalata waateena alzzakata waatiAAna Allaha warasoolahu innama yureedu Allahu liyuthhiba AAankumu alrrijsa ahla albayti wayutahhirakum tatheeran
Stay in your homes and do not show your beautification like the previous period of ignorance.  Establish prayer (As-Salât) pay the poor-dues (Zakât) and obey Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).  Allâh wishes this that (HE) should remove impurity (Ar ­Rijs) from the family of the Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and completely purify you.

وَاذْكُرْنَ مَا يُتْلَى فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ لَطِيفًا خَبِيرًا

34.            Waothkurna ma yutla fee buyootikunna min ayati Allahi waalhikmati inna Allaha kana lateefan khabeeran
Remember the Revelation and the words of wisdom (Al-­Hikmah), which are being recited in your houses.  No doubt, Allâh is most Gracious and well Acquainted.  (R) 1 

إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْقَانِتِينَ وَالْقَانِتَاتِ وَالصَّادِقِينَ وَالصَّادِقَاتِ وَالصَّابِرِينَ وَالصَّابِرَاتِ وَالْخَاشِعِينَ وَالْخَاشِعَاتِ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقَاتِ وَالصَّائِمِينَ وَالصَّائِمَاتِ وَالْحَافِظِينَ فُرُوجَهُمْ وَالْحَافِظَاتِ وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

35.             Inna almuslimeena waalmuslimati waalmumineena waalmuminati waalqaniteena waalqanitati waalssadiqeena waalssadiqati waalssabireena waalssabirati waalkhashiAAeena waalkhashiAAati waalmutasaddiqeena waalmutasaddiqati waalssaimeena waalssaimati waalhafitheena furoojahum waalhafithati waalththakireena Allaha katheeran waalththakirati aAAadda Allahu lahum maghfiratan waajran AAatheeman
Certainly those men and women who are Muslims, believers, obedient to commandment, truthful, patient, prostrate (humble) before Allâh, generous (to give Sadaqât), fasting (keep Saum), guarding their chastity and remembering Allâh much, Allâh has prepared a great reward and forgiveness for them. 

وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَن يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا مُّبِينًا

36.            Wama kana limuminin wala muminatin itha qada Allahu warasooluhu amran an yakoona lahumu alkhiyaratu min amrihim waman yaAAsi Allaha warasoolahu faqad dalla dalalan mubeenan
None of the believer men and believer women has this right that when Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) have given a judgment in any matter then he/she should has an option to make decision in that matter of his/her own.  And whosoever disobeys Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)) then he/she has been lost in a clear error.

وَإِذْ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِي أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ زَوْجَكَ وَاتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَتُخْفِي فِي نَفْسِكَ مَا اللَّهُ مُبْدِيهِ وَتَخْشَى النَّاسَ وَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَاهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى زَيْدٌ مِّنْهَا وَطَرًا زَوَّجْنَاكَهَا لِكَيْ لَا يَكُونَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَرَجٌ فِي أَزْوَاجِ أَدْعِيَائِهِمْ إِذَا قَضَوْا مِنْهُنَّ وَطَرًا وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ مَفْعُولًا

37.             Waith taqoolu lillathee anAAama Allahu AAalayhi waanAAamta AAalayhi amsik AAalayka zawjaka waittaqi Allaha watukhfee fee nafsika ma Allahu mubdeehi watakhsha alnnasa waAllahu ahaqqu an takhshahu falamma qada zaydun minha wataran zawwajnakaha likay la yakoona AAala almumineena harajun fee azwaji adAAiyaihim itha qadaw minhunna wataran wakana amru Allahi mafAAoolan
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), recall that occasion when you were saying to that person, whom Allâh and you had favored: "Do not leave your wife and fear Allâh”.  At that time you were hiding that thing in your heart, which Allâh wanted to disclose, you were fearing from the people, whereas Allâh has greater right that you should fear HIM.  And when Zaid (freed salve of Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) has satisfied his need from her -- then WE married her (the divorced lady) to you so that there should be no difficulty for the believers about the wives of their adopted sons when they have satisfied their need from them (and have divorced them).  And the command of Allâh had to be implemented.

مَّا كَانَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مِنْ حَرَجٍ فِيمَا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَهُ سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِن قَبْلُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ قَدَرًا مَّقْدُورًا

38.             Ma kana AAala alnnabiyyi min harajin feema farada Allahu lahu sunnata Allahi fee allatheena khalaw min qablu wakana amru Allahi qadaran maqdooran
There is no hindrance for the Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in any such thing that Allâh has ordained for him.  The same has been the practice of Allâh in regard to all those Prophets who have passed away before and the Command of Allâh is absolute predetermined decision.

الَّذِينَ يُبَلِّغُونَ رِسَالَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَخْشَوْنَهُ وَلَا يَخْشَوْنَ أَحَدًا إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ حَسِيبًا

39.             Allatheena yuballighoona risalati Allahi wayakhshawnahu wala yakhshawna ahadan illa Allaha wakafa biAllahi haseeban
(This is the practice of Allâh for those people)  Who convey the Messages of Allâh and fear only from HIM and (they) do not fear anyone except One Allâh and Allâh is sufficient for accountability (to settle accounts). 

مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا

40.             Ma kana muhammadun aba ahadin min rijalikum walakin rasoola Allahi wakhatama alnnabiyyeena wakana Allahu bikulli shayin AAaleeman
(O people) Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is not the father of any of your men, but he is a Rasool of Allâh and the last (end) of the Prophets, and Allâh has the knowledge of everything.  (R) 2

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا

41.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo othkuroo Allaha thikran katheeran
O people who have brought Faith, remember Allâh countless (abundant)

وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا

42.             Wasabbihoohu bukratan waaseelan
And keep glorifying HIM morning and evening.

هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَحِيمًا

43.             Huwa allathee yusallee AAalaykum wamalaikatuhu liyukhrijakum mina alththulumati ila alnnoori wakana bialmumineena raheeman
HE is the One WHO blesses you with Mercy and HIS Angels pray for your blessing so that HE brings you out from darkness into light, HE is very loving to the believers.

تَحِيَّتُهُمْ يَوْمَ يَلْقَوْنَهُ سَلَامٌ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَرِيمًا

44.             Tahiyyatuhum yawma yalqawnahu salamun waaAAadda lahum ajran kareeman
The Day when they will meet HIM, their reception will be with the greetings of peace (Salâm) and Allâh has prepared a great reward for them. 

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا

45.             Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu inna arsalnaka shahidan wamubashshiran wanatheeran
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), WE have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner,

وَدَاعِيًا إِلَى اللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيرًا

46.             WadaAAiyan ila Allahi biithnihi wasirajan muneeran
(The one who) Invites towards HIM with the permission of Allâh and being a shining light (spreading light).

وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِأَنَّ لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ فَضْلًا كَبِيرًا

47.             Wabashshiri almumineena bianna lahum mina Allahi fadlan kabeeran
Give glad tidings to those people who have brought Faith (on you, Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) that -- from Allâh there is a great reward for them.

وَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَدَعْ أَذَاهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا

48.             Wala tutiAAi alkafireena waalmunafiqeena wadaAA athahum watawakkal AAala Allahi wakafa biAllahi wakeelan
And never come under the pressure of infidels (Kafir) and the hypocrites, overlook their ill-treatment and put your trust in Allâh, Allâh is Sufficient for it that a person should entrust his/her affairs to HIM.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّونَهَا فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيلًا

49.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha nakahtumu almuminati thumma tallaqtumoohunna min qabli an tamassoohunna fama lakum AAalayhinna min AAiddatin taAAtaddoonaha famattiAAoohunna wasarrihoohunna sarahan jameelan
O people who have brought Faith, when you marry the believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them (before marriage is consummated) then from you there is no waiting period on them ('Iddah) whose completion you can demand (from them).  Therefore, give them some wealth and see them off in a good manner.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ أَزْوَاجَكَ اللَّاتِي آتَيْتَ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ مِمَّا أَفَاء اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمِّكَ وَبَنَاتِ عَمَّاتِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَالِكَ وَبَنَاتِ خَالَاتِكَ اللَّاتِي هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَ وَامْرَأَةً مُّؤْمِنَةً إِن وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِيِّ إِنْ أَرَادَ النَّبِيُّ أَن يَسْتَنكِحَهَا خَالِصَةً لَّكَ مِن دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا فَرَضْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِي أَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ لِكَيْلَا يَكُونَ عَلَيْكَ حَرَجٌ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

50.             Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu inna ahlalna laka azwajaka allatee atayta ojoorahunna wama malakat yameenuka mimma afaa Allahu AAalayka wabanati AAammika wabanati AAammatika wabanati khalika wabanati khalatika allatee hajarna maAAaka waimraatan muminatan in wahabat nafsaha lilnnabiyyi in arada alnnabiyyu an yastankihaha khalisatan laka min dooni almumineena qad AAalimna ma faradna AAalayhim fee azwajihim wama malakat aymanuhum likayla yakoona AAalayka harajun wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), WE have made lawful to you -- your those wives to whom you have paid their dowries (Mahr), and those women who came in your possession from among those salves-girls whom Allâh has given (to you, Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and your those cousins–father’s brother daughter and father’s sister daughter and mother’s brother daughter and mother’s sister daughter -- who has migrated with you and that believing woman who has gifted herself to the Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) if Prophet wishes to marry her.  This privilege is especially for you (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) (it is) not for the other believers.  WE know that what limitations WE have imposed on rest of the believers about their wives and the slaves-girls.  (WE have exempted you, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, from this limit)  So that there should be no difficulty on you and Allâh is Forgiving and Loving. 

تُرْجِي مَن تَشَاء مِنْهُنَّ وَتُؤْوِي إِلَيْكَ مَن تَشَاء وَمَنِ ابْتَغَيْتَ مِمَّنْ عَزَلْتَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكَ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن تَقَرَّ أَعْيُنُهُنَّ وَلَا يَحْزَنَّ وَيَرْضَيْنَ بِمَا آتَيْتَهُنَّ كُلُّهُنَّ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَلِيمًا

51.             Turjee man tashao minhunna watuwee ilayka man tashao wamani ibtaghayta mimman AAazalta fala junaha AAalayka thalika adna an taqarra aAAyunuhunna wala yahzanna wayardayna bima ataytahunna kulluhunna waAllahu yaAAlamu ma fee quloobikum wakana Allahu AAaleeman haleeman
You have been given permission to keep away from yourself whomever you want from among your wives, whomever you want can keep with you and whomever you want can call back after keeping away.  There is no accountability on you about this matter.  In this way it is most expected that their eyes will remain cool and they will not grieve, and whatever you will give them -- they all will remain content on it.  Allâh knows whatever is in your hearts, and Allâh is All Knowing and All Wise.  

لَا يَحِلُّ لَكَ النِّسَاء مِن بَعْدُ وَلَا أَن تَبَدَّلَ بِهِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ حُسْنُهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ رَّقِيبًا

52.             La yahillu laka alnnisao min baAAdu wala an tabaddala bihinna min azwajin walaw aAAjabaka husnuhunna illa ma malakat yameenuka wakana Allahu AAala kulli shayin raqeeban
After this other women are not lawful for you (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and nor you have the permission to bring other wives in their place, even though you like their beauty very much, however you have the permission for the salve-girls.  Allâh is Watching everything.  (R) 3

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتَ النَّبِيِّ إِلَّا أَن يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ غَيْرَ نَاظِرِينَ إِنَاهُ وَلَكِنْ إِذَا دُعِيتُمْ فَادْخُلُوا فَإِذَا طَعِمْتُمْ فَانتَشِرُوا وَلَا مُسْتَأْنِسِينَ لِحَدِيثٍ إِنَّ ذَلِكُمْ كَانَ يُؤْذِي النَّبِيَّ فَيَسْتَحْيِي مِنكُمْ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِن وَرَاء حِجَابٍ ذَلِكُمْ أَطْهَرُ لِقُلُوبِكُمْ وَقُلُوبِهِنَّ وَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُؤْذُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَن تَنكِحُوا أَزْوَاجَهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ أَبَدًا إِنَّ ذَلِكُمْ كَانَ عِندَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمًا

53.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tadkhuloo buyoota alnnabiyyi illa an yuthana lakum ila taAAamin ghayra nathireena inahu walakin itha duAAeetum faodkhuloo faitha taAAimtum faintashiroo wala mustaniseena lihadeethin inna thalikum kana yuthee alnnabiyya fayastahyee minkum waAllahu la yastahyee mina alhaqqi waitha saaltumoohunna mataAAan faisaloohunna min warai hijabin thalikum atharu liquloobikum waquloobihinna wama kana lakum an tuthoo rasoola Allahi wala an tankihoo azwajahu min baAAdihi abadan inna thalikum kana AAinda Allahi AAatheeman
O people, who have brought Faith, do not come into the homes of Prophet (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) without permission.  Nor keep waiting for the mealtime.  Yes, if you are invited for the meal then must come.  But when you have taken your meal then disperse, do not keep talking.  Your these acts upsets the Prophet (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), but he does not say anything because of his shyness.  And Allâh does not feel shy in telling the truth.  If you have to ask anything from the wives of Prophet (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then ask it from behind the screen, this is most appropriate way for the purity of your as well as their hearts.  It is not proper for you at all that you upset the Rasool of Allâh and nor it is permissible that you ever marry his wives after him; this is a heinous sin in the sight of Allâh.

إِن تُبْدُوا شَيْئًا أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا

54.             In tubdoo shayan aw tukhfoohu fainna Allaha kana bikulli shayin AAaleeman
Whether you reveal or conceal anything, Allâh has the knowledge of everything.

لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِنَّ فِي آبَائِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَائِهِنَّ وَلَا إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاء إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاء أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَائِهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ وَاتَّقِينَ اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا

55.             La junaha AAalayhinna fee abaihinna wala abnaihinna wala ikhwanihinna wala abnai ikhwanihinna wala abnai akhawatihinna wala nisaihinna wala ma malakat aymanuhunna waittaqeena Allaha inna Allaha kana AAala kulli shayin shaheedan
There is no harm in it for the wives of Prophet (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) that (if) their fathers, their sons, their brothers, their nephews (their brother's sons), their sisters’ sons, their intimate women, and their slaves come to their homes.  (O women)  You should avoid the disobedience of Allâh.  Allâh is Watching over everything.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

56.             Inna Allaha wamalaikatahu yusalloona AAala alnnabiyyi ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo salloo AAalayhi wasallimoo tasleeman
Allâh and HIS Angels send blessings on HIS Rasool (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), O people who have brought Faith, you should also send salutation and blessing on him (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا مُّهِينًا

57.             Inna allatheena yuthoona Allaha warasoolahu laAAanahumu Allahu fee alddunya waalakhirati waaAAadda lahum AAathaban muheenan
Those people who annoy Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), Allâh has cursed them in this world as well as in the Hereafter and has prepared a humiliating punishment for them. 

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِغَيْرِ مَا اكْتَسَبُوا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلُوا بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِينًا

58.             Waallatheena yuthoona almumineena waalmuminati bighayri ma iktasaboo faqadi ihtamaloo buhtanan waithman mubeenan
And those people who persecute believing men and women unjustly they have taken a severe falsehood and obvious sin on their shoulders.  (R) 4

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِّأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاء الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

59.             Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu qul liazwajika wabanatika wanisai almumineena yudneena AAalayhinna min jalabeebihinna thalika adna an yuAArafna fala yuthayna wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that they should draw the boarders of their shawls (veils) over themselves.  This is the most appropriate way -- so that they should be recognized and should not be troubled.  Allâh is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful. 

لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ وَالْمُرْجِفُونَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ لَنُغْرِيَنَّكَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ لَا يُجَاوِرُونَكَ فِيهَا إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

60.             Lain lam yantahi almunafiqoona waallatheena fee quloobihim maradun waalmurjifoona fee almadeenati lanughriyannaka bihim thumma la yujawiroonaka feeha illa qaleelan
If hypocrites, and those people who have disease in their hearts, and those who spread false and disturbing news in Madinah, did not stop their actions then WE shall make you to take action against them, then they shall hardly be able to stay in this city with you. 

مَلْعُونِينَ أَيْنَمَا ثُقِفُوا أُخِذُوا وَقُتِّلُوا تَقْتِيلًا

61.             MalAAooneena ayna ma thuqifoo okhithoo waquttiloo taqteelan
They will be cursed from all sides, wherever they will be found will be caught, and will be killed badly. 

سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِن قَبْلُ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا

62.             Sunnata Allahi fee allatheena khalaw min qablu walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan
This is practice of Allâh that has been coming from long before for the affairs of such people, and you people will not find any change in the way of Allâh. 

يَسْأَلُكَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ اللَّهِ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيبًا

63.             Yasaluka alnnasu AAani alssaAAati qul innama AAilmuha AAinda Allahi wama yudreeka laAAalla alssaAAata takoonu qareeban
The people ask you when the last hour will come.  Tell (them): "The knowledge of it is with Allâh Alone.  You may not know, perhaps it may have come closer. 

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَعَنَ الْكَافِرِينَ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ سَعِيرًا

64.             Inna Allaha laAAana alkafireena waaAAadda lahum saAAeeran
After all this is a true fact -- that Allâh has cursed the infidels (Kafir) and has prepared flaming Fire for them. 

خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا لَّا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا

65.             Khalideena feeha abadan la yajidoona waliyyan wala naseeran
Where they will stay forever -- will not find any helper or protector (Walî).

يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ يَقُولُونَ يَا لَيْتَنَا أَطَعْنَا اللَّهَ وَأَطَعْنَا الرَّسُولَا

66.             Yawma tuqallabu wujoohuhum fee alnnari yaqooloona ya laytana ataAAna Allaha waataAAna alrrasoola
The Day when their faces will be rotated over the Fire at that time they will say: "Would that!  We had obeyed Allâh and the Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)."

وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَا

67.             Waqaloo rabbana inna ataAAna sadatana wakubaraana faadalloona alssabeela
And (they) will say: "O our Râbb, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones and they misled us from the Right Path.

رَبَّنَا آتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْنًا كَبِيرًا

68.             Rabbana atihim diAAfayni mina alAAathabi wailAAanhum laAAnan kabeeran
O Râbb, give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse" (R) 5

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَجِيهًا

69.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takoonoo kaallatheena athaw moosa fabarraahu Allahu mimma qaloo wakana AAinda Allahi wajeehan
O people, who have brought Faith, do not become like those people who had tortured Mûsa, then Allâh cleared him from their fabricated things, and he was honorable in the Sight of Allâh. 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا

70.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha waqooloo qawlan sadeedan
O (you) who have brought Faith, fear Allâh, and say the upright things.

يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَن يُطِعْ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا

71.             Yuslih lakum aAAmalakum wayaghfir lakum thunoobakum waman yutiAAi Allaha warasoolahu faqad faza fawzan AAatheeman
Allâh will straighten your deeds and will forgive you your mistakes.  Whosoever obeys Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) he/she has achieved a great success

إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْأَمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَأَبَيْنَ أَن يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَأَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْإِنسَانُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا

72.             Inna AAaradna alamanata AAala alssamawati waalardi waaljibali faabayna an yahmilnaha waashfaqna minha wahamalaha alinsanu innahu kana thalooman jahoolan
WE presented this trust (Al­-Amânah) before the skies and the earth and the mountains, but they did not get ready to undertake it and became scared of it, but human took it, no doubt, he is very cruel and ignorant (of its results).

لِيُعَذِّبَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ وَالْمُشْرِكَاتِ وَيَتُوبَ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

73.             LiyuAAaththiba Allahu almunafiqeena waalmunafiqati waalmushrikeena waalmushrikati wayatooba Allahu AAala almumineena waalmuminati wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
(It is predictable result of taking the responsibility of this trust) So, that Allâh should punish the hypocrite men and women, and idolater men and women (Al­Mushrikûn) and should accept the repentance of the believer men and women.  Allâh is Most Forgiving and Merciful.

Total Verses: 54

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ

1.                Alhamdu lillahi allathee lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi walahu alhamdu fee alakhirati wahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeeru
Praise is for Allâh WHO is the Owner of everything in the skies and in the earth -- and also in Hereafter the praise is for HIM.  HE is All Wise and All Aware. 

يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاء وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا وَهُوَ الرَّحِيمُ الْغَفُورُ

2.                YaAAlamu ma yaliju fee alardi wama yakhruju minha wama yanzilu mina alssamai wama yaAAruju feeha wahuwa alrraheemu alghafooru
HE knows all that which goes into the earth and that which comes out from it and that which descends from the sky and that which ascends to it -- HE is Loving and Forgiving.

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَأْتِينَا السَّاعَةُ قُلْ بَلَى وَرَبِّي لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا أَصْغَرُ مِن ذَلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ

3.                Waqala allatheena kafaroo la tateena alssaAAatu qul bala warabbee latatiyannakum AAalimi alghaybi la yaAAzubu AAanhu mithqalu tharratin fee alssamawati wala fee alardi wala asgharu min thalika wala akbaru illa fee kitabin mubeenin
The deniers say: "What is the matter that the Hour is not coming on us!"  Say: "By my Râbb the Knower of all the unseen, it will surely going to come on you."  There is nothing hidden from HIM neither in the skies nor in the earth.  Neither bigger than an atom (small ant) nor smaller than it.  Everything is written in a Clear Book (Al-­Lauh Al-­Mahfûz)”.

لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُوْلَئِكَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ

4.                Liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati olaika lahum maghfiratun warizqun kareemun
And this Hour will take place so that Allâh may recompense those people who have brought Faith and have been doing the righteous deeds.  There is forgiveness and excellent provisions (Rizqun Karîm) for them.

وَالَّذِينَ سَعَوْا فِي آيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِينَ أُوْلَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مِّن رِّجْزٍ أَلِيمٌ

5.                Waallatheena saAAaw fee ayatina muAAajizeena olaika lahum AAathabun min rijzin aleemin
And those people who have tried hard to betray OUR Revelation (Ayât) there is a severe and worst kind of punishment for them. 

وَيَرَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ هُوَ الْحَقَّ وَيَهْدِي إِلَى صِرَاطِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ

6.                Wayara allatheena ootoo alAAilma allathee onzila ilayka min rabbika huwa alhaqqa wayahdee ila sirati alAAazeezi alhameedi
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), those who have the knowledge they know it very well that whatever is revealed to you from your Râbb that is clear truth and it guides to the Path of Omnipotent and All Praise-Worthy Allâh.

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هَلْ نَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى رَجُلٍ يُنَبِّئُكُمْ إِذَا مُزِّقْتُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ

7.                 Waqala allatheena kafaroo hal nadullukum AAala rajulin yunabbiokum itha muzziqtum kulla mumazzaqin innakum lafee khalqin jadeedin
The deniers say to the people: "Shall we tell you about such person who says that when each part of your body will be fully scattered at that time you will be recreated anew? 

أَفْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَم بِهِ جِنَّةٌ بَلِ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ فِي الْعَذَابِ وَالضَّلَالِ الْبَعِيدِ

8.                 Aftara AAala Allahi kathiban am bihi jinnatun bali allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati fee alAAathabi waalddalali albaAAeedi
Don’t know whether this person fabricates a lie in the name of Allâh or is he unsound.”  Absolutely not, but those people who do not believe in the Hereafter are going to suffer a torment and they are the ones who are gone far astray.

أَفَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُم مِّنَ السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضِ إِن نَّشَأْ نَخْسِفْ بِهِمُ الْأَرْضَ أَوْ نُسْقِطْ عَلَيْهِمْ كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاء إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ

9.                 Afalam yaraw ila ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum mina alssamai waalardi in nasha nakhsif bihimu alarda aw nusqit AAalayhim kisafan mina alssamai inna fee thalika laayatan likulli AAabdin muneebin
Have they never seen the sky and the earth, which is surrounding them from front and from behind?  If WE want then (WE) sink them under the earth, or drop a few pieces of the sky on them.  In fact, there is a sign in it for every such person who returns to Allâh (in repentance).  (R) 7

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ مِنَّا فَضْلًا يَا جِبَالُ أَوِّبِي مَعَهُ وَالطَّيْرَ وَأَلَنَّا لَهُ الْحَدِيدَ

10.             Walaqad atayna dawooda minna fadlan ya jibalu awwibee maAAahu waalttayra waalanna lahu alhadeeda
WE had blessed Dâwoud with a great bounty from OURSELF.  (WE Commanded): "O mountains, collaborate with him (and the same command WE) give to the birds.  WE soften the iron for him."

أَنِ اعْمَلْ سَابِغَاتٍ وَقَدِّرْ فِي السَّرْدِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

11.             Ani iAAmal sabighatin waqaddir fee alssardi waiAAmaloo salihan innee bima taAAmaloona baseerun
With this guidance: "Make armor coats and fix their rings in proper measure.  (O family of Dâwoud) do righteous deed, whatever you do I am watching it."

وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌ وَرَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌ وَأَسَلْنَا لَهُ عَيْنَ الْقِطْرِ وَمِنَ الْجِنِّ مَن يَعْمَلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ وَمَن يَزِغْ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ أَمْرِنَا نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ

12.             Walisulaymana alrreeha ghuduwwuha shahrun warawahuha shahrun waasalna lahu AAayna alqitri wamina aljinni man yaAAmalu bayna yadayhi biithni rabbihi waman yazigh minhum AAan amrina nuthiqhu min AAathabi alssaAAeeri
And WE subjected wind for Sulaimân, its blowing in the morning for a month's journey and its blowing in the evening for a month's journey.  WE made to flow a fountain of melted brass for him and subjected such jinns to him, who used to work for him by the command of their Râbb.  Whoever from among them disobeyed OUR Command WE made him/her taste the torment of the blazing Fire. 

يَعْمَلُونَ لَهُ مَا يَشَاء مِن مَّحَارِيبَ وَتَمَاثِيلَ وَجِفَانٍ كَالْجَوَابِ وَقُدُورٍ رَّاسِيَاتٍ اعْمَلُوا آلَ دَاوُودَ شُكْرًا وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُورُ

13.             YaAAmaloona lahu ma yashao min mahareeba watamatheela wajifanin kaaljawabi waqudoorin rasiyatin iAAmaloo ala dawooda shukran waqaleelun min AAibadiya alshshakooru
They used to build for him whatever he wanted -- high-rise buildings, images, huge tanks like large pool and immovable heavy cooking pots---O family of Dâwoud, act with thanks, a very few of MY servants are grateful. 

فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلَى مَوْتِهِ إِلَّا دَابَّةُ الْأَرْضِ تَأْكُلُ مِنسَأَتَهُ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ الْجِنُّ أَن لَّوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ الْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوا فِي الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ

14.       Falamma qadayna AAalayhi almawta ma dallahum AAala mawtihi illa dabbatu alardi takulu minsaatahu falamma kharra tabayyanati aljinnu an law kanoo yaAAlamoona alghayba ma labithoo fee alAAathabi almuheeni
And when WE decreed Sulaimân’s death then there was nothing to inform the jinns of his death except a termite that was eating-up his stick.  In this way, when Sulaimân fell down, it became clear to the jinns that if they were to know the unseen then they would not have remained in this humiliating torment.

لَقَدْ كَانَ لِسَبَإٍ فِي مَسْكَنِهِمْ آيَةٌ جَنَّتَانِ عَن يَمِينٍ وَشِمَالٍ كُلُوا مِن رِّزْقِ رَبِّكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لَهُ بَلْدَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَرَبٌّ غَفُورٌ

15.             Laqad kana lisabain fee maskanihim ayatun jannatani AAan yameenin washimalin kuloo min rizqi rabbikum waoshkuroo lahu baldatun tayyibatun warabbun ghafoorun
For the people of Saba' there was a sign in their own dwelling places, two gardens on the right and the left.  Eat of the provisions of your Râbb and be grateful to HIM, pleasant and pure is the land and Forgiving is the Râbb. 

فَأَعْرَضُوا فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَيْلَ الْعَرِمِ وَبَدَّلْنَاهُم بِجَنَّتَيْهِمْ جَنَّتَيْنِ ذَوَاتَى أُكُلٍ خَمْطٍ وَأَثْلٍ وَشَيْءٍ مِّن سِدْرٍ قَلِيلٍ

16.             FaaAAradoo faarsalna AAalayhim sayla alAAarimi wabaddalnahum bijannatayhim jannatayni thawatay okulin khamtin waathlin washayin min sidrin qaleelin
But they turned away their faces.  Consequently, WE sent on them flood bursting the dam (Sail Al­'Arim) and gave them two gardens producing sour and bitter fruits and bush-trees and some plum-trees in place of their two previous gardens. 

ذَلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُم بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَهَلْ نُجَازِي إِلَّا الْكَفُورَ

17.             Thalika jazaynahum bima kafaroo wahal nujazee illa alkafoora
This was the reward for their infidelity (Kufr) that WE gave them -- and WE never give such reward to anyone except those who are ungrateful. 

وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ الْقُرَى الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا قُرًى ظَاهِرَةً وَقَدَّرْنَا فِيهَا السَّيْرَ سِيرُوا فِيهَا لَيَالِيَ وَأَيَّامًا آمِنِينَ

18.             WajaAAalna baynahum wabayna alqura allatee barakna feeha quran thahiratan waqaddarna feeha alssayra seeroo feeha layaliya waayyaman amineena
And WE had placed noticeable habitations between them and those towns which WE had blessed and arranged the stages of journey between them with an estimation.  Travel on these roads day and night in complete security.

فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا بَاعِدْ بَيْنَ أَسْفَارِنَا وَظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ وَمَزَّقْنَاهُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ

19.             Faqaloo rabbana baAAid bayna asfarina wathalamoo anfusahum fajaAAalnahum ahadeetha wamazzaqnahum kulla mumazzaqin inna fee thalika laayatin likulli sabbarin shakoorin
But they said: "O our Râbb, extend the stages of our journey."  They had done unjust to themselves.  Consequently, WE made them a tale of olden days and WE totally scattered them all.  Certainly there are signs in it for that person who is patient and grateful. 

وَلَقَدْ صَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْلِيسُ ظَنَّهُ فَاتَّبَعُوهُ إِلَّا فَرِيقًا مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

20.             Walaqad saddaqa AAalayhim ibleesu thannahu faittabaAAoohu illa fareeqan mina almumineena
In their example, Iblîs (Satan) found his doubt accurate and they followed him, except a small group, which was believer. 

وَمَا كَانَ لَهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّن سُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِالْآخِرَةِ مِمَّنْ هُوَ مِنْهَا فِي شَكٍّ وَرَبُّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ

21.             Wama kana lahu AAalayhim min sultanin illa linaAAlama man yuminu bialakhirati mimman huwa minha fee shakkin warabbuka AAala kulli shayin hafeethun
Iblîs (Satan) had no authority over them, but whatever happened, it happened because WE wanted to see -- who is believer of the Hereafter and who is in doubt about it.  Your Râbb is watching (Hâfiz) over everything.  (R) 8

قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِيهِمَا مِن شِرْكٍ وَمَا لَهُ مِنْهُم مِّن ظَهِيرٍ

22.             Quli odAAoo allatheena zaAAamtum min dooni Allahi la yamlikoona mithqala tharratin fee alssamawati wala fee alardi wama lahum feehima min shirkin wama lahu minhum min thaheerin
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)  Say (to these idolaters):  "Invoke your those deities whom you proclaim to be your deities except Allâh.  They are neither owners of anything (even the weight of an atom) in the skies nor on the earth.  They are not participants in the ownership of the skies and the earth.  None among them is even helper of Allâh.

وَلَا تَنفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا لِمَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَن قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالُوا مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُوا الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ

23.             Wala tanfaAAu alshshafaAAatu AAindahu illa liman athina lahu hatta itha fuzziAAa AAan quloobihim qaloo matha qala rabbukum qaloo alhaqqa wahuwa alAAaliyyu alkabeeru
And no intercession can be beneficial for anyone before Allâh except for that person for whom Allâh has granted permission for intercession.  Until when the fear will depart from the hearts of the people then they (from the intercessors) will ask, "What answer has your Râbb given”?  They will say: "The right answer is given -- HE is the Exalted and the Great”.

قُلْ مَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّا أَوْ إِيَّاكُمْ لَعَلَى هُدًى أَوْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ

24.             Qul man yarzuqukum mina alssamawati waalardi quli Allahu wainna aw iyyakum laAAala hudan aw fee dalalin mubeenin
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), Ask them: "Who gives you provisions from the skies and the earth”?  Say: "Allâh".  Now of course only either we or you are on the guidance or are in a clear error." 

قُل لَّا تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا أَجْرَمْنَا وَلَا نُسْأَلُ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

25.             Qul la tusaloona AAamma ajramna wala nusalu AAamma taAAmaloona
Tell them: "There will be no accountability on you for our mistakes and we shall not be held accountable for that whatever you are doing”.

قُلْ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا رَبُّنَا ثُمَّ يَفْتَحُ بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَهُوَ الْفَتَّاحُ الْعَلِيمُ

26.             Qul yajmaAAu baynana rabbuna thumma yaftahu baynana bialhaqqi wahuwa alfattahu alAAaleemu
Say: "Our Râbb will assemble us all together, then (HE) will judge between us with truth.  HE is such a Powerful Judge WHO knows everything."

قُلْ أَرُونِي الَّذِينَ أَلْحَقْتُم بِهِ شُرَكَاء كَلَّا بَلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

27.             Qul arooniya allatheena alhaqtum bihi shurakaa kalla bal huwa Allahu alAAazeezu alhakeemu
Ask them: "Just show me who are those deities whom you have associated with HIM”.  Absolutely not, Allâh Alone is the Omnipotent and All Wise.

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا كَافَّةً لِّلنَّاسِ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

28.             Wama arsalnaka illa kaffatan lilnnasi basheeran wanatheeran walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
And (O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), WE have sent you for the entire mankind as a messenger of happy news and a warner, but most of the people do not know.

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

29.             Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena
These people ask you: "When that promise (of the Hour) will be fulfilled if you are truthful”?

قُل لَّكُم مِّيعَادُ يَوْمٍ لَّا تَسْتَأْخِرُونَ عَنْهُ سَاعَةً وَلَا تَسْتَقْدِمُونَ

30.             Qul lakum meeAAadu yawmin la tastakhiroona AAanhu saAAatan wala astaqdimoona
Say: "The appointment of such a Day is fixed for you that you can neither hold back for a moment nor could bring it before by a moment."  (R) 9

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَن نُّؤْمِنَ بِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ وَلَا بِالَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ مَوْقُوفُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يَرْجِعُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ الْقَوْلَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لَوْلَا أَنتُمْ لَكُنَّا مُؤْمِنِينَ

31.             Waqala allatheena kafaroo lan numina bihatha alqurani wala biallathee bayna yadayhi walaw tara ithi alththalimoona mawqoofoona AAinda rabbihim yarjiAAu baAAduhum ila baAAdin alqawla yaqoolu allatheena istudAAifoo lillatheena istakbaroo lawla antum lakunna mumineena
These infidels (Kafir) say: "We will never embrace this Al-Qur'ân and nor will accept any other Book which came before it."  Would that!  You see their condition at that time when these cruels (Zâlimûn) will be standing before their Râbb.  At that time, they will blame each other.  Those people who had been kept as oppressed in the world they will say to those who were arrogant: "If you would not be then we would be believers". 

قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَاكُمْ عَنِ الْهُدَى بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءكُم بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ

32.             Qala allatheena istakbaroo lillatheena istudAAifoo anahnu sadadnakum AAani alhuda baAAda ith jaakum bal kuntum mujrimeena
Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed: "Did we keep you back from this guidance, which came to you?  Absolutely not, but you yourselves were criminals (Mujrimûn).

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا بَلْ مَكْرُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ إِذْ تَأْمُرُونَنَا أَن نَّكْفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَنَجْعَلَ لَهُ أَندَادًا وَأَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَغْلَالَ فِي أَعْنَاقِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

33.             Waqala allatheena istudAAifoo lillatheena istakbaroo bal makru allayli waalnnahari ith tamuroonana an nakfura biAllahi wanajAAala lahu andadan waasarroo alnnadamata lamma raawoo alAAathaba wajaAAalna alaghlala fee aAAnaqi allatheena kafaroo hal yujzawna illa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
Those oppressed will say to the arrogants:  "Absolutely not, but it was deception of night and day when you used to say us that we should commit infidelity (Kufr) with Allâh and take others as HIS partners."  Finally, when these people will see the punishment then they will regret in their hearts and WE shall put iron collars around the necks of the infidels (deniers).  Can any other reward be given to the people except this that they should be recompensed according to their deeds? 

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ

34.             Wama arsalna fee qaryatin min natheerin illa qala mutrafooha inna bima orsiltum bihi kafiroona
It never happened that WE sent a warner to a town and the wealthier people of that town have not said: "We do not embrace the message you have brought." 

وَقَالُوا نَحْنُ أَكْثَرُ أَمْوَالًا وَأَوْلَادًا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

35.             Waqaloo nahnu aktharu amwalan waawladan wama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena
They always said the same: "We have more wealth and children than you and we are never going to be punished”.

قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاء وَيَقْدِرُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

36.             Qul inna rabbee yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Tell them: "Whomever My Râbb Wants gives in abundance and whomever (HE) Wants gives in fixed amount, but most of the people do not know the reality of it”.  (R) 10 

وَمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُكُم بِالَّتِي تُقَرِّبُكُمْ عِندَنَا زُلْفَى إِلَّا مَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُوْلَئِكَ لَهُمْ جَزَاء الضِّعْفِ بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَهُمْ فِي الْغُرُفَاتِ آمِنُونَ

37.             Wama amwalukum wala awladukum biallatee tuqarribukum AAindana zulfa illa man amana waAAamila salihan faolaika lahum jazao alddiAAfi bima AAamiloo wahum fee alghurufati aminoona
It is not your wealth and your offspring that bring you closer to US.  Yes if one brings Faith and does righteous deeds.  These are the ones who have double the reward for their deeds, and they will reside in the skyscraping buildings with peace and security.

وَالَّذِينَ يَسْعَوْنَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِينَ أُوْلَئِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ

38.             Waallatheena yasAAawna fee ayatina muAAajizeena olaika fee alAAathabi muhdaroona
As for those people who strive hard to put OUR Revelation (Ayât) down, they will suffer the punishment. 

قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاء مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ وَمَا أَنفَقْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ

39.             Qul inna rabbee yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao min AAibadihi wayaqdiru lahu wama anfaqtum min shayin fahuwa yukhlifuhu wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) tell them: "My Râbb gives in abundance whomever HE Wills from among HIS servants and whomever HE Wills gives in fixed amount.  Whatever you spend -- for that HE gives you more.  HE is the Best of All the providers." 

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ أَهَؤُلَاء إِيَّاكُمْ كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ

40.             Wayawma yahshuruhum jameeAAan thumma yaqoolu lilmalaikati ahaolai iyyakum kanoo yaAAbudoona
And the Day when HE will assemble the entire mankind together and will ask from the angels: "Did these people use to worship you?" 

قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِم بَلْ كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ الْجِنَّ أَكْثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤْمِنُونَ

41.             Qaloo subhanaka anta waliyyuna min doonihim bal kanoo yaAAbudoona aljinna aktharuhum bihim muminoona
Then they (angels) will reply: "Pure is YOU YOURSELF, we are associated with YOU not with these people.  In fact they used to worship the jinns not us, most of them had brought Faith on them." 

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يَمْلِكُ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ نَّفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا وَنَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

42.             Faalyawma la yamliku baAAdukum libaAAdin nafAAan wala darran wanaqoolu lillatheena thalamoo thooqoo AAathaba alnnari allatee kuntum biha tukaththiboona
(At that time WE will say) Today none of you can benefit or harm one another.  And WE would tell the cruel: "Now taste the torments of the Fire that you used to deny.

وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَذَا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ أَن يَصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَقَالُوا مَا هَذَا إِلَّا إِفْكٌ مُّفْتَرًى وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ

43.             Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qaloo ma hatha illa rajulun yureedu an yasuddakum AAamma kana yaAAbudu abaokum waqaloo ma hatha illa ifkun muftaran waqala allatheena kafaroo lilhaqqi lamma jaahum in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun
When OUR Clear Revelation (Verses) are recited to these people, they say: "This person just wishes to turn you away from your those deities whom your forefathers have been worshiping."  And they say:  "This (Al-Qur’ân) is nothing but a fabricated lie."  When truth came before these infidels (Kafir), they clearly said:  "This is an obvious magic."

وَمَا آتَيْنَاهُم مِّن كُتُبٍ يَدْرُسُونَهَا وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ قَبْلَكَ مِن نَّذِيرٍ

44.             Wama ataynahum min kutubin yadrusoonaha wama arsalna ilayhim qablaka min natheerin
Whereas neither WE had given any Book to these people before that they use to study it and nor sent any warner towards them before you. 

وَكَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا بَلَغُوا مِعْشَارَ مَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوا رُسُلِي فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

45.             Wakaththaba allatheena min qablihim wama balaghoo miAAshara ma ataynahum fakaththaboo rusulee fakayfa kana nakeeri
Those people who passed away before them have also denied.  Whatever WE had given to them those people have not received even one tenth (1/10^th) of it.  But when they denied MY Rasools then see how terrible was MY punishment.  (R) 11

قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَعِظُكُم بِوَاحِدَةٍ أَن تَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ مَثْنَى وَفُرَادَى ثُمَّ تَتَفَكَّرُوا مَا بِصَاحِبِكُم مِّن جِنَّةٍ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ لَّكُم بَيْنَ يَدَيْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ

46.             Qul innama aAAithukum biwahidatin an taqoomoo lillahi mathna wafurada thumma tatafakkaroo ma bisahibikum min jinnatin in huwa illa natheerun lakum bayna yaday AAathabin shadeedin
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) tell them:  "I only advise you for one thing.  For the sake of Allâh, ponder individually and in groups of two and think -- after all what is in your companions that is of madness?  He is a warner to inform you about the severe torment before its coming."

قُلْ مَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ

47.             Qul ma saaltukum min ajrin fahuwa lakum in ajriya illa AAala Allahi wahuwa AAala kulli shayin shaheedun
Tell them: "If I have asked any reward from you then you keep it.  My reward is with Allâh and HE is Witness over everything." 

قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ

48.             Qul inna rabbee yaqthifu bialhaqqi AAallamu alghuyoobi
Tell them: "My Râbb reveals truth (on me) and HE Knows all the hidden realities (Ghaib)”. 

قُلْ جَاء الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ

49.             Qul jaa alhaqqu wama yubdio albatilu wama yuAAeedu
Say: "The truth has come and now falsehood (Al­Bâtil) can never succeed." 

قُلْ إِن ضَلَلْتُ فَإِنَّمَا أَضِلُّ عَلَى نَفْسِي وَإِنِ اهْتَدَيْتُ فَبِمَا يُوحِي إِلَيَّ رَبِّي إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ قَرِيبٌ

50.             Qul in dalaltu fainnama adillu AAala nafsee waini ihtadaytu fabima yoohee ilayya rabbee innahu sameeAAun qareebun
Say: "If I am gone astray then the burden of my error is on me, and if I am on a guidance then it is because of that Revelation (Inspiration) which my Râbb Reveals to me, HE Hears everything and is very close”.

وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ فَزِعُوا فَلَا فَوْتَ وَأُخِذُوا مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ

51.             Walaw tara ith faziAAoo fala fawta waokhithoo min makanin qareebin
Would that!  You see them at that time when these people will be frightened and will not be able to escape anywhere, but will be caught from a nearby place. 

وَقَالُوا آمَنَّا بِهِ وَأَنَّى لَهُمُ التَّنَاوُشُ مِن مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ

52.             Waqaloo amanna bihi waanna lahumu alttanawushu min makanin baAAeedin
At that time, they will say: "We brought Faith in it".  Whereas now -- how one can get a thing which has gone that far.

وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِهِ مِن قَبْلُ وَيَقْذِفُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ مِن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ

53.             Waqad kafaroo bihi min qablu wayaqthifoona bialghaybi min makanin baAAeedin
Before it, they had committed infidelity (Kufr) and without any investigation, they used to bring trifling from far places.

وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشْيَاعِهِم مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا فِي شَكٍّ مُّرِيبٍ

54.             Waheela baynahum wabayna ma yashtahoona kama fuAAila biashyaAAihim min qablu innahum kanoo fee shakkin mureebin
At that time, what they will be wishing for; they will be deprived from it, as their predecessors alike would have been deprived.  They had been in a severe misleading doubt.  (R) 12

“Fâtir/Al­Malâ'ikah – Initiator/ Originator” –  (Makki - 35^th Surah)

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُولِي أَجْنِحَةٍ مَّثْنَى وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاء إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

1.                Alhamdu lillahi fatiri alssamawati waalardi jaAAili almalaikati rusulan olee ajnihatin mathna wathulatha warubaAAa yazeedu fee alkhalqi ma yashao inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
Praise is only for Allâh WHO is the Creator of the skies and the earth and Assignor of the angels as messengers, (such angels) who have two-two, three-three, and four-four hands.  HE increases in the construction of HIS creation as HE Pleases.  Surely, Allâh has the Power over everything. 

مَا يَفْتَحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِن رَّحْمَةٍ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

2.                Ma yaftahi Allahu lilnnasi min rahmatin fala mumsika laha wama yumsik fala mursila lahu min baAAdihi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
Whichever door of mercy Allâh opens for the people -- none can withhold it and whichever (door) HE closes then none can open it after Allâh.  HE is Omnipotent and All Wise.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ هَلْ مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ

3.                Ya ayyuha alnnasu othkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum hal min khaliqin ghayru Allahi yarzuqukum mina alssamai waalardi la ilaha illa huwa faanna tufakoona
O people, remember those Favors that Allâh has done to you.  Is there any other creator except Allâh who gives you the provisions from the sky and the earth?---There is no deity except HIM (Lâ ilâha illa Huwa), after all wherefrom -- are you being deceived? 

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأمُورُ

4.                Wain yukaththibooka faqad kuththibat rusulun min qablika waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru
Now (O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), if they deny you (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, then it is not a new thing), many Rasools before you also have been denied, and eventually all the matters have to return to Allâh. 

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ

5.                Ya ayyuha alnnasu inna waAAda Allahi haqqun fala taghurrannakumu alhayatu alddunya wala yaghurrannakum biAllahi algharooru
O people, the Promise of Allâh is surely true, therefore the worldly life should not deceive you, and the chief deceiver (Shaitân) could not deceive you about Allâh. 

إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا إِنَّمَا يَدْعُو حِزْبَهُ لِيَكُونُوا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ

6.                Inna alshshaytana lakum AAaduwwun faittakhithoohu AAaduwwan innama yadAAoo hizbahu liyakoonoo min ashabi alssaAAeeri
In fact, Shaitân is your enemy so you should also consider him your enemy.  He is only inviting his followers (Hizb) to his way that they may become the dwellers of the Hell. 

الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ

7.                Allatheena kafaroo lahum AAathabun shadeedun waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum maghfiratun waajrun kabeerun
Those people who will commit infidelity (Kufr) there is severe punishment for them and those people who will bring Faith and will do righteous deeds there is forgiveness and great reward for them.  (R) 13

أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَاء وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاء فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَاتٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ

8.                Afaman zuyyina lahu sooo AAamalihi faraahu hasanan fainna Allaha yudillu man yashao wayahdee man yashao fala tathhab nafsuka AAalayhim hasaratin inna Allaha AAaleemun bima yasnaAAoona
(Is straying away of that person has any limit) Whose evil deeds have been made pleasing for him/her and he/she is considering it as good?  The fact is that Allâh puts in error whom HE wills and shows the straight path whom HE wills.  Therefore (O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), your soul should not be consumed in distress and sorrow for these people for nothing.  Whatever they are doing -- Allâh is Well Aware of it.

وَاللَّهُ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَسُقْنَاهُ إِلَى بَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا كَذَلِكَ النُّشُورُ

9.                WaAllahu allathee arsala alrriyaha fatutheeru sahaban fasuqnahu ila baladin mayyitin faahyayna bihi alarda baAAda mawtiha kathalika alnnushooru
HE is Allâh WHO sends the winds, then it lifts the clouds, then WE drive it to the barren land and with it revive the land that was lying dead.  The revival of dead people will be in the same way. 

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهُ وَالَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَكْرُ أُوْلَئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ

10.             Man kana yureedu alAAizzata falillahi alAAizzatu jameeAAan ilayhi yasAAadu alkalimu alttayyibu waalAAamalu alssalihu yarfaAAuhu waallatheena yamkuroona alssayyiati lahum AAathabun shadeedun wamakru olaika huwa yabooru
Whosoever desires honor he/she should know that the entire Honor belongs to Allâh Alone.  Only the pure word ascends to HIM and the righteous deed raises it up.  As for those people who play evil tricks, there is a severe punishment for them and their trick is going to be destroyed itself.

وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَى وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٍ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ

11.             WaAllahu khalaqakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma jaAAalakum azwajan wama tahmilu min ontha wala tadaAAu illa biAAilmihi wama yuAAammaru min muAAammarin wala yunqasu min AAumurihi illa fee kitabin inna thalika AAala Allahi yaseerun
Allâh created you from mud, then from sperm-drop (Nutfah), then made your pairs (male and female).  No female conceives or gives birth to any child but all this is in the Knowledge of Allâh.  No aging person grows old and neither any ones’ age is reduced but all this is written in the Book (Al­Lauh Al­Mahfûz).  This is very easy task for Allâh. 

وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْبَحْرَانِ هَذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ سَائِغٌ شَرَابُهُ وَهَذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَمِن كُلٍّ تَأْكُلُونَ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ فِيهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوا مِن فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

12.             Wama yastawee albahrani hatha AAathbun furatun saighun sharabuhu wahatha milhun ojajun wamin kullin takuloona lahman tariyyan watastakhrijoona hilyatan talbasoonaha watara alfulka feehi mawakhira litabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona
And both the reservoirs of water are not similar.  One is sweet and thirsts quenching, pleasant to drink, and the other very saltiest and bitter scratches the throat.  But you get fresh and tender meat from both, fetch the ornaments to wear, and in the same water you see that boats are sailing through it -- so that you seek the Bounty of Allâh and become thankful to HIM. 

يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِن قِطْمِيرٍ

13.             Yooliju allayla fee alnnahari wayooliju alnnahara fee allayli wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara kullun yajree liajalin musamman thalikumu Allahu rabbukum lahu almulku waallatheena tadAAoona min doonihi ma yamlikoona min qitmeerin
HE merges the night into the day and the day into the night.  HE has subjected the Moon and the Sun.  This all is moving till an appointed time.  The same Allâh (WHO dose all this) is your Râbb.  The Sovereignty is HIS.  Those whom you call upon except HIM do not own even a thin layer of date-stone (Qitmîr).

إِن تَدْعُوهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوا دُعَاءكُمْ وَلَوْ سَمِعُوا مَا اسْتَجَابُوا لَكُمْ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكْفُرُونَ بِشِرْكِكُمْ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيرٍ

14.             In tadAAoohum la yasmaAAoo duAAaakum walaw samiAAoo ma istajaboo lakum wayawma alqiyamati yakfuroona bishirkikum wala yunabbioka mithlu khabeerin
If you invoke them -- they cannot hear your prayers and if they hear then they cannot reply you.  And on the Day of Resurrection they will disown your shirk (associating others with Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala).  None can give you such accurate news about the reality except the One WHO is All Aware.  (R) 14

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاء إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ

15.             Ya ayyuha alnnasu antumu alfuqarao ila Allahi waAllahu huwa alghaniyyu alhameedu
O people, this is you -- who stand in need of Allâh, and Allâh is Wealthy and Worthy of all praises.

إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ

16.             In yasha yuthhibkum wayati bikhalqin jadeedin
If HE wills -- HE can destroy you and bring a new creation in your place,

وَمَا ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٍ

17.             Wama thalika AAala Allahi biAAazeezin
To do so is not difficult for Allâh. 

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى وَإِن تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ إِلَى حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالغَيْبِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَمَن تَزَكَّى فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكَّى لِنَفْسِهِ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ

18.             Wala taziru waziratun wizra okhra wain tadAAu muthqalatun ila himliha la yuhmal minhu shayon walaw kana tha qurba innama tunthiru allatheena yakhshawna rabbahum bialghaybi waaqamoo alssalata waman tazakka fainnama yatazakka linafsihi waila Allahi almaseeru
No bearer of burdens will carry another's burden.  And if a laden person calls-out for help to carry his/her load, no one will come to share any of his/her burdens even though he/she may be very close relative.  (O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) you can only warn those people who fear their unseen Râbb and establish prayer (As-Salât, Iqâmat­ as­ Salât).  Whosoever adopts the purity (he/she) does it for his/her own good.  And all have to return to Allâh.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ

19.             Wama yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru
The blind and the seeing are not equal.

وَلَا الظُّلُمَاتُ وَلَا النُّورُ

20.             Wala alththulumatu wala alnnooru
Neither the darkness nor the light are the same. 

وَلَا الظِّلُّ وَلَا الْحَرُورُ

21.             Wala alththillu wala alharooru
Nor the cool shade and the sun's heat are alike.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَحْيَاء وَلَا الْأَمْوَاتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَن يَشَاء وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَّن فِي الْقُبُورِ

22.             Wama yastawee alahyao wala alamwatu inna Allaha yusmiAAu man yashao wama anta bimusmiAAin man fee alquboori
And nor the deads and alives are equal.  Allâh makes to hear whomever HE wills, but (O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) you cannot make those people to hear who are buried in graves. 

إِنْ أَنتَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ

23.             In anta illa natheerun
You (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) are only a warner.

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَإِن مِّنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌ

24.             Inna arsalnaka bialhaqqi basheeran wanatheeran wain min ommatin illa khala feeha natheerun
WE have sent you with the truth as a messenger of happy news and a warner.  And no such nation has passed away to whom a warner has not come. 

وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ جَاءتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالزُّبُرِ وَبِالْكِتَابِ الْمُنِيرِ

25.             Wain yukaththibooka faqad kaththaba allatheena min qablihim jaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati wabialzzuburi wabialkitabi almuneeri
Now if these people deny you then those people before them have also been denied.  Their Rasools had come to them with clear proofs, the Scriptures, and the Book with clear guidance. 

ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ

26.             Thumma akhathtu allatheena kafaroo fakayfa kana nakeeri
Then those people who did not accept I seized them and see how severe was MY punishment.  (R) 15

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ ثَمَرَاتٍ مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَانُهَا وَمِنَ الْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌ بِيضٌ وَحُمْرٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٌ

27.             Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina alssamai maan faakhrajna bihi thamaratin mukhtalifan alwanuha wamina aljibali judadun beedun wahumrun mukhtalifun alwanuha wagharabeebu soodun
Don’t you see that Allâh showers down the water from the sky and then with it WE produce different kinds of fruits of varying colors.  As well in the mountains, there are white, red, and dark black strips whose colors are different.

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ وَالدَّوَابِّ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهُ كَذَلِكَ إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاء إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ

28.             Wamina alnnasi waalddawabbi waalanAAami mukhtalifun alwanuhu kathalika innama yakhsha Allaha min AAibadihi alAAulamao inna Allaha AAazeezun ghafoorun
And in the same way, men and living creatures (Ad­ Dawâb) and cattle have various colors.  The reality is that among the servants of Allâh only those people fear HIM who has the knowledge.  No doubt, Allâh is Omnipotent and Forgiving. 

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَّن تَبُورَ

29.             Inna allatheena yatloona kitaba Allahi waaqamoo alssalata waanfaqoo mimma razaqnahum sirran waAAalaniyatan yarjoona tijaratan lan taboora
Those people who recite the Book of Allâh (Al-Qur'ân) and establish prayer (As­Salât, Iqâmat­ as ­Salât), and whatever provisions WE have given them (they) spend from it secretly and openly, certainly they are anticipating a trade in which there will be no loss at all.

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ إِنَّهُ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ

30.             Liyuwaffiyahum ojoorahum wayazeedahum min fadlihi innahu ghafoorun shakoorun
(In this trade they have invested their everything) So that Allâh may give them their rewards in full and even bless them with more out of HIS Bounty.  No doubt, Allâh is Forgiving and Appreciative.

وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِ لَخَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ

31.             Waallathee awhayna ilayka mina alkitabi huwa alhaqqu musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi inna Allaha biAAibadihi lakhabeerun baseerun
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) The Book WE have sent toward you through Revelation that is truth, has been confirming those Books, which had come before it.  No doubt, Allâh is Aware of the conditions of HIS servants and (HE) is watching over everything.

ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا الْكِتَابَ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِ وَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌ وَمِنْهُمْ سَابِقٌ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُ

32.             Thumma awrathna alkitaba allatheena istafayna min AAibadina faminhum thalimun linafsihi waminhum muqtasidun waminhum sabiqun bialkhayrati biithni Allahi thalika huwa alfadlu alkabeeru
Then WE made those people heirs of this Book, whom WE preferred (for this inheritance) from among OUR servants.  Now there is one among them who does wrong to oneself, and someone follows a middle course, and someone gets lead in good deeds by the leave of Allâh this is the greatest bounty

جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ

33.             Jannatu AAadnin yadkhuloonaha yuhallawna feeha min asawira min thahabin waluluan walibasuhum feeha hareerun
Everlasting Gardens ('Adn -- Paradise) in which these people will enter.  There they will be decorated with gold bracelets and pearls, their garments will be of silk,

وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنَّا الْحَزَنَ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ

34.             Waqaloo alhamdu lillahi allathee athhaba AAanna alhazana inna rabbana laghafoorun shakoorun
And they will say: "Thanks to that Allâh WHO has removed our grief from us, surely our Râbb is Forgiving and Appreciative,

الَّذِي أَحَلَّنَا دَارَ الْمُقَامَةِ مِن فَضْلِهِ لَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَلَا يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا لُغُوبٌ

35.             Allathee ahallana dara almuqamati min fadlihi la yamassuna feeha nasabun wala yamassuna feeha lughoobun
WHO placed us in an everlasting place by HIS Grace, now here we do not face any difficulty and nor we get tired.”

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يُقْضَى عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوتُوا وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُم مِّنْ عَذَابِهَا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي كُلَّ كَفُورٍ

36.             Waallatheena kafaroo lahum naru jahannama la yuqda AAalayhim fayamootoo wala yukhaffafu AAanhum min AAathabiha kathalika najzee kulla kafoorin
And (as for) those people who have committed infidelity (Kufr) there is Hell Fire for them.  Neither their matter will be concluded so that they die and nor the torment of the Hell will be reduced for them.  This is how WE reward each such person -- who commits infidelity (Kufr).  

وَهُمْ يَصْطَرِخُونَ فِيهَا رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا غَيْرَ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ أَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُم مَّا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيهِ مَن تَذَكَّرَ وَجَاءكُمُ النَّذِيرُ فَذُوقُوا فَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍ

37.             Wahum yastarikhoona feeha rabbana akhrijna naAAmal salihan ghayra allathee kunna naAAmalu awa lam nuAAammirkum ma yatathakkaru feehi man tathakkara wajaakumu alnnatheeru fathooqoo fama lilththalimeena min naseerin
There they will cry and say: "O our Râbb, take us out of here -- so that we may do righteous deeds, different from those deeds which we had been doing.”  (They will be responded): "Did WE not give you enough life so that if someone wants to learn a lesson could have learned it?  And a warner had also come to you.  Now taste (torment) it.  Here there is no helper for the cruel (Zâlimûn)."  (R) 16

إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَالِمُ غَيْبِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

38.             Inna Allaha AAalimu ghaybi alssamawati waalardi innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori
No doubt, Allâh is Aware of all the hidden things of the skies and the earth; HE even Knows the hidden secrets of the hearts.

هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَائِفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الْكَافِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا مَقْتًا وَلَا يَزِيدُ الْكَافِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ إِلَّا خَسَارًا

39.             Huwa allathee jaAAalakum khalaifa fee alardi faman kafara faAAalayhi kufruhu wala yazeedu alkafireena kufruhum AAinda rabbihim illa maqtan wala yazeedu alkafireena kufruhum illa khasaran
HE is the One WHO has made you caliph (vicegerent) in the earth.  Now whosoever commits infidelity (Kufr) the burden of his/her infidelity (Kufr) is upon him/her, and the disbelief of the infidels (Kafir) does not add anything except that the wrath of their Râbb keeps increasing more and more.  There is nothing for the infidels (Kafir) except increase in losses.

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ شُرَكَاءكُمُ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا فَهُمْ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْهُ بَلْ إِن يَعِدُ الظَّالِمُونَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا

40.             Qul araaytum shurakaakumu allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina alardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawati am ataynahum kitaban fahum AAala bayyinatin minhu bal in yaAAidu alththalimoona baAAduhum baAAdan illa ghurooran
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Ask them: "Have you ever seen yours those deities whom you call except Allâh?  Tell me what have they created in the earth?  Or what share do they have in the skies”?  (If they cannot tell then ask them)  Have WE given them something in writing based on that, they have some clear evidence (to support theirshirk)?  Absolutely not, but the cruel (Zâlimûn) are trying to deceive each other." 

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ أَن تَزُولَا وَلَئِن زَالَتَا إِنْ أَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّن بَعْدِهِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا

41.             Inna Allaha yumsiku alssamawati waalarda an tazoola walain zalata in amsakahuma min ahadin min baAAdihi innahu kana haleeman ghafooran
The fact is that Allâh is the One WHO is holding the skies and the earth from falling into vacuum, and if they fall off -- then there is no one who can sustain them after Allâh.  No doubt, Allâh is Most Forbearing and Forgiving. 

وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِن جَاءهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَى مِنْ إِحْدَى الْأُمَمِ فَلَمَّا جَاءهُمْ نَذِيرٌ مَّا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا

42.             Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim lain jaahum natheerun layakoonunna ahda min ihda alomami falamma jaahum natheerun ma zadahum illa nufooran
These people used to say by swearing firmly that if any warner had come to them then they would have been better guided than any other nation of the world.  But when a warner came to them then his arrival did not increase anything in them except an escape from truth. 

اسْتِكْبَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ السَّيِّئِ وَلَا يَحِيقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ الْأَوَّلِينَ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ اللَّهِ تَحْوِيلًا

43.             Istikbaran fee alardi wamakra alssayyii wala yaheequ almakru alssayyio illa biahlihi fahal yanthuroona illa sunnata alawwaleena falan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tahweelan
They began to rebel more in the land and started planning dirty tricks whereas the dirty tricks only encompasses the players themselves.  Are now these people waiting for it that they should be dealt the same way as Allâh has dealt with the previous nations?  If this is the case then you will not find any change in the methodology (Sunnah) of Allâh and you will never see that any power can divert the way of Allâh from its predetermine course.

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُ مِن شَيْءٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلِيمًا قَدِيرًا

44.             Awa lam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim wakanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan wama kana Allahu liyuAAjizahu min shayin fee alssamawati wala fee alardi innahu kana AAaleeman qadeeran
Have these people not traveled through the land that they could see the end of those people who have passed away before them and were lot more powerful than these people?  There is nothing to make Allâh helpless, neither in the skies nor in the earth.  HE Knows everything and has Power over everything. 

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا مَا تَرَكَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا مِن دَابَّةٍ وَلَكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى فَإِذَا جَاء أَجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ بَصِيرًا

45.             Walaw yuakhithu Allahu alnnasa bima kasaboo ma taraka AAala thahriha min dabbatin walakin yuakhkhiruhum ila ajalin musamman faitha jaa ajaluhum fainna Allaha kana biAAibadihi baseeran
If Allâh ever has to seize the people for their misdeeds then HE would not have spared any soul alive on the surface of the earth.  But HE is giving them respite for an appointed term.  And when their appointed time will come to an end then Allâh will see HIS servants.  (R) 17

“Yâ­Sîn/Y. S. - Ya Seen” – (Makki - 36^th Surah)

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

يس

1.                 Yâ-Sîn
Yaseen -- these letters are called prefixes, muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala, knows the meanings.

وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ

2.                Waalqurani alhakeemi
(I, Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala) Swear by the Wise Al-Qur'ân that

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

3.                Innaka lamina almursaleena
You (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) are certainly from among the Rasools,

عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

4.               AAala siratin mustaqeemin
Are on a Straight Path

تَنزِيلَ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ

5.               Tanzeela alAAazeezi alrraheemi
(And this Al-Qur'ân) Is a Revelation of the Omnipotent and the Most Merciful One,

لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّا أُنذِرَ آبَاؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَافِلُونَ

6.                Litunthira qawman ma onthira abaohum fahum ghafiloona
So that you should warn such nation whose forefathers had not been warned and for this reason they are in ignorance.

لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

7.                Laqad haqqa alqawlu AAala aktharihim fahum la yuminoona
The most of them have already qualified for the decision of punishment; this is why they do not bring Faith.

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ أَغْلاَلاً فَهِيَ إِلَى الأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ

8.                Inna jaAAalna fee aAAnaqihim aghlalan fahiya ila alathqani fahum muqmahoona
WE have put an iron-collars around their necks by which they are seized up to their chins, this is why they are standing their heads-up.

وَجَعَلْنَا مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُبْصِرُونَ

9.                WajaAAalna min bayni aydeehim saddan wamin khalfihim saddan faaghshaynahum fahum la yubsiroona
WE have set-up a wall in front of them and a wall behind them.  WE have covered them up, now they cannot think anything.

وَسَوَاء عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ

10.            Wasawaon AAalayhim aanthartahum am lam tunthirhum la yuminoona
It is the same for them whether you warn them or not, they will not accept.

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمَن بِالْغَيْبِ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ

11.            Innama tunthiru mani ittabaAAa alththikra wakhashiya alrrahmana bialghaybi fabashshirhu bimaghfiratin waajrin kareemin
You can only warn that person -- who follows the advice and fears the unseen Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala).  Give him/her good news of forgiveness and a great reward.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُبِينٍ

12.            Inna nahnu nuhyee almawta wanaktubu ma qaddamoo waatharahum wakulla shayin ahsaynahu fee imamin mubeenin
One day WE are certainly going to resurrect the dead.  WE are recording all the deeds, which they have done, and whatever traces they have left behind WE are also preserving them.  WE have written everything in an open Book.  (R) 1

وَاضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلاً أَصْحَابَ الْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَاءهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ

13.             Waidrib lahum mathalan ashaba alqaryati ith jaaha almursaloona
Tell them about the habitation of that town as an example -- when Rasools came to it (town).

إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ

14.             Ith arsalna ilayhimu ithnayni fakaththaboohuma faAAazzazna bithalithin faqaloo inna ilaykum mursaloona
WE sent two Rasools toward them and they denied them both.  Then WE sent third as a helper and they all said: "We have been sent toward you as Rasools."

قَالُوا مَا أَنتُمْ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَا أَنزَلَ الرَّحْمن مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلاَّ تَكْذِبُونَ

15.            Qaloo ma antum illa basharun mithluna wama anzala alrrahmanu min shayin in antum illa takthiboona
The people of the town said: "You are no more than a few human beings like us, and the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala) has not revealed anything, you are only telling lies."

قَالُوا رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّا إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ

16.            Qaloo rabbuna yaAAlamu inna ilaykum lamursaloona
The Rasools said: "Our Râbb knows that we have been certainly sent as Rasools towards you, 

وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلاَّ الْبَلاَغُ الْمُبِينُ

17.             Wama AAalayna illa albalaghu almubeenu
And there is no other responsibility on us except to convey the message plainly and clearly." 

قَالُوا إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

18.             Qaloo inna tatayyarna bikum lain lam tantahoo lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minna AAathabun aleemun
The people of the town started saying: "We consider you as a symbol of an evil omen for us.  If you did not stop then we will stone you to death and you will get painful torment from us."

قَالُوا طَائِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ

19.             Qaloo tairukum maAAakum ain thukkirtum bal antum qawmun musrifoona
Rasools responded: "Your evil omens are attached with your own-selves.  Do you say these things because you have been advised?  The truth is that you are the people who have transgressed all limits (Musrifûn).” 

وَجَاء مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَى قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ

20.             Wajaa min aqsa almadeenati rajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAoo almursaleena
In the mean time a person came running from the farthest part of the town and said: "O people of my nation, Obey the Rasools. 

اتَّبِعُوا مَن لاَّ يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ

21.             IttabiAAoo man la yasalukum ajran wahum muhtadoona
Obey those people who do not ask any reward from you and are on the Straight Path.
