Chapter 24

Total Verses: 75

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِالصِّدْقِ إِذْ جَاءهُ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْكَافِرِينَ

32.             Faman athlamu mimman kathaba AAala Allahi wakaththaba bialssidqi ith jaahu alaysa fee jahannama mathwan lilkafireena
Then who else will be crueler than the person (the one) who fabricated lie against Allâh and when the truth came before him -- then he denied it.  Is there no place in Hell for such person? 

وَالَّذِي جَاء بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ

33.             Waallathee jaa bialssidqi wasaddaqa bihi olaika humu almuttaqoona
And the person, who came with truth and those who accepted it as truth, they are the ones who are going to be saved from the punishment (Al-Muttaqûn).

لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ذَلِكَ جَزَاء الْمُحْسِنِينَ

34.             Lahum ma yashaoona AAinda rabbihim thalika jazao almuhsineena
Whatever they will desire they will get all that from their Râbb.  This is the reward of the pious people (Muhsinûn), 

لِيُكَفِّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

35.             Liyukaffira Allahu AAanhum aswaa allathee AAamiloo wayajziyahum ajrahum biahsani allathee kanoo yaAAmaloona
So that the worst deeds they had committed Allâh may omit from their accounts and reward them according to the excellent deeds they have been doing.

أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهُ وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِالَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ

36.             Alaysa Allahu bikafin AAabdahu wayukhawwifoonaka biallatheena min doonihi waman yudlili Allahu fama lahu min hadin
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Is Allâh not Sufficient for HIS servants?  These people scare you with others except HIM.  Whereas whom Allâh sends astray there is no one who can guide him/her 

وَمَن يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن مُّضِلٍّ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍ ذِي انتِقَامٍ

37.             Waman yahdi Allahu fama lahu min mudillin alaysa Allahu biAAazeezin thee intiqamin
And whom Allâh guides there is none who can mislead him/her.  Is Allâh not Omnipotent and capable of Retribution? 

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ قُلْ أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَاشِفَاتُ ضُرِّهِ أَوْ أَرَادَنِي بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَاتُ رَحْمَتِهِ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ

38.             Walain saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawati waalarda layaqoolunna Allahu qul afaraaytum ma tadAAoona min dooni Allahi in aradaniya Allahu bidurrin hal hunna kashifatu durrihi aw aradanee birahmatin hal hunna mumsikatu rahmatihi qul hasbiya Allahu AAalayhi yatawakkalu almutawakkiloona
If you ask that who has created the skies and the earth, then they themselves will say, “Allâh”.  Ask them, when the fact is this then what do you think that if Allâh wants to harm me then your these goddesses (idols), whom you worship except Allâh will save me from HIS harm?  Or if Allâh intends to do mercy on me then will they be able to withhold HIS Mercy?  Therefore, tell them that Allâh is Sufficient for me, those who trust (should) put their trust in HIM.

قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

39.             Qul ya qawmi iAAmaloo AAala makanatikum innee AAamilun fasawfa taAAlamoona
Tell them clearly: "O people of my nation, you keep doing your job (according to your belief), I will keep doing mine, soon you will come to know   

مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ

40.             Man yateehi AAathabun yukhzeehi wayahillu AAalayhi AAathabun muqeemun
That to whom comes the disgracing torment and who gets that everlasting punishment." 

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَى فَلِنَفْسِهِ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ

41.             Inna anzalna AAalayka alkitaba lilnnasi bialhaqqi famani ihtada falinafsihi waman dalla fainnama yadillu AAalayha wama anta AAalayhim biwakeelin
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) WE have revealed this Book to you -- with truth -- for all human beings.  Now whosoever will adopt the straight path will do for himself/herself and whosoever will go astray the burden of his/her going astray will be on him/her, you are not accountable (Wakîl) for them.  (R) 1

اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضَى عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الْأُخْرَى إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

42.             Allahu yatawaffa alanfusa heena mawtiha waallatee lam tamut fee manamiha fayumsiku allatee qada AAalayha almawta wayursilu alokhra ila ajalin musamman inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona
HE is Allâh WHO possesses the souls at the time of death and who has not yet died (HE) possesses his/her soul during the sleep, then on whom HE passes the decision of death HE detains it and sends back the souls of others for an appointed term.  There are many signs in it for those people who ponder upon. 

أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاء قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ

43.             Ami ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi shufaAAaa qul awa law kanoo la yamlikoona shayan wala yaAAqiloona
Have these people taken others as intercessors leaving that Allâh?  Tell them: "Will they intercede even if they neither have any power nor any understanding?" 

قُل لِّلَّهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ جَمِيعًا لَّهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

44.             Qul lillahi alshshafaAAatu jameeAAan lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi thumma ilayhi turjaAAoona
Say: "Intercession is entirely in the control of Allâh.  HE is the Sovereign of the Kingdom of the skies and the earth.  Then you shall be brought back to HIM." 

وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ

45.             Waitha thukira Allahu wahdahu ishmaazzat quloobu allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati waitha thukira allatheena min doonihi itha hum yastabshiroona
When Allâh Alone is remembered then those who do not believe in the Hereafter their hearts filled with hatred, and when others are called except HIM then suddenly they are filled with joy. 

قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ أَنتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِي مَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ

46.             Quli allahumma fatira alssamawati waalardi AAalima alghaybi waalshshahadati anta tahkumu bayna AAibadika fee ma kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona
Say, "O Allâh Creator of the skies and the earth, Knower of the unseen (Ghaib) and the seen, YOU will judge between YOUR servants about that thing in which they have been differing”.

وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لَافْتَدَوْا بِهِ مِن سُوءِ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَبَدَا لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُونُوا يَحْتَسِبُونَ

47.             Walaw anna lillatheena thalamoo ma fee alardi jameeAAan wamithlahu maAAahu laiftadaw bihi min sooi alAAathabi yawma alqiyamati wabada lahum mina Allahi ma lam yakoonoo yahtasiboona
If these cruel have all the wealth of the earth and that much more, then on the Day of Judgment they will be ready to give all that as ransom to escape from the severe punishment.  There that will come before them from Allâh, which they have never imagined about. 

وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون

48.             Wabada lahum sayyiatu ma kasaboo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona
There -- all evil results of their earnings will become visible to them and the same thing will encircle them for which they have been making fun. 

فَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلْنَاهُ نِعْمَةً مِّنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ بَلْ هِيَ فِتْنَةٌ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

49.             Faitha massa alinsana durrun daAAana thumma itha khawwalnahu niAAmatan minna qala innama ooteetuhu AAala AAilmin bal hiya fitnatun walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
The same humankind calls US when a little harm touches him/her, and when WE raised him/her by giving OUR favor then says: "This has been given to me because of my knowledge”, Absolutely not, whereas it is a test, but most of the people among them do not know.

قَدْ قَالَهَا الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

50.             Qad qalaha allatheena min qablihim fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona
Those who passed before them have said the same thing, but whatever they used to earn that did not avail them anything.

فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَؤُلَاء سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ

51.             Faasabahum sayyiatu ma kasaboo waallatheena thalamoo min haolai sayuseebuhum sayyiatu ma kasaboo wama hum bimuAAjizeena
Then they suffered the bad results of their earnings, and those who are cruel among these people they will soon suffer the bad consequences of their earnings, they are not able to make US helpless.

أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاء وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

52.             Awa lam yaAAlamoo anna Allaha yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona
And don’t they know that Allâh increases the provisions for whom HE wills and restricts for whom HE wills?  There are signs in it for those people who bring Faith.  (R) 2

قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

53.             Qul ya AAibadiya allatheena asrafoo AAala anfusihim la taqnatoo min rahmati Allahi inna Allaha yaghfiru alththunooba jameeAAan innahu huwa alghafooru alrraheemu
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Say: "O MY devotees ('Ibâdî) those who have done wrong to themselves, do not lose hope from the Mercy of Allâh certainly Allâh forgives all the sins, HE is Most Forgiving and Most Loving.

وَأَنِيبُوا إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ وَأَسْلِمُوا لَهُ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ

54.             Waaneeboo ila rabbikum waaslimoo lahu min qabli an yatiyakumu alAAathabu thumma la tunsaroona
Come back to your Râbb in submission before this that misery overtakes you and then you could not get help from anywhere.

وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ العَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ

55.             WaittabiAAoo ahsana ma onzila ilaykum min rabbikum min qabli an yatiyakumu alAAathabu baghtatan waantum la tashAAuroona
And follow the best viewpoint of the Book sent down from your Râbb before it that all of sudden a torment comes on you and while you do not know it." 

أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَا حَسْرَتَى علَى مَا فَرَّطتُ فِي جَنبِ اللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِينَ

56.             An taqoola nafsun ya hasrata AAala ma farrattu fee janbi Allahi wain kuntu lamina alssakhireena
Then it should not be that later someone say: "Woe on my that negligence that I have been doing to Allâh but on the contrary I was among those who used to make fun.”

أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هَدَانِي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ

57.             Aw taqoola law anna Allaha hadanee lakuntu mina almuttaqeena
Or say: "Would that!  Allâh had guided me then I should have been among the pious people (Muttaqûn)." 

أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى الْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي كَرَّةً فَأَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

58.             Aw taqoola heena tara alAAathaba law anna lee karratan faakoona mina almuhsineena
Or seeing the punishment should say: “Would that!  I could get one more chance and I also should be included among those who do the righteous deeds (Muhsinûn)." 

بَلَى قَدْ جَاءتْكَ آيَاتِي فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَاسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ

59.             Bala qad jaatka ayatee fakaththabta biha waistakbarta wakunta mina alkafireena
(And at that time this response will be given to him/her) “Why not, MY Revelation (Ayât) had come to you, then you denied them and showed arrogance and you were from the infidels (Kafir)”. 

وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَرَى الَّذِينَ كَذَبُواْ عَلَى اللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُم مُّسْوَدَّةٌ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ

60.             Bala qad jaatka ayatee fakaththabta biha waistakbarta wakunta mina alkafireena
Today those people who have fabricated lie against Allâh on the Day of Resurrection you will see their faces will be blacken.  Is there not enough place in the Hell for the arrogant?

وَيُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

61.             Wayunajjee Allahu allatheena ittaqaw bimafazatihim la yamassuhumu alssooo wala hum yahzanoona
On the contrary to this those people who have adopted the piety (Muttaqûn) in this world Allâh will set them free because of their means of success, no evil will touch them nor they will grieve.

اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ

62.             Allahu khaliqu kulli shayin wahuwa AAala kulli shayin wakeelun
Allâh is the Creator of everything and HE is Guardian (Wakîl) over all things. 

لَهُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ

63.             Lahu maqaleedu alssamawati waalardi waallatheena kafaroo biayati Allahi olaika humu alkhasiroona
The keys of the treasures of the heavens and the earth are with HIM.  And those who commit infidelity (Kufr) with the Revelation (Ayât) of Allâh (they) are the only losers.  (R) 3

قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا الْجَاهِلُونَ

64.             Qul afaghayra Allahi tamuroonnee aAAbudu ayyuha aljahiloona
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Ask them: "Then O illiterates, do you tell me to serve someone else except Allâh?" 

وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

65.             Walaqad oohiya ilayka waila allatheena min qablika lain ashrakta layahbatanna AAamaluka walatakoonanna mina alkhasireena
(You, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, should tell them this clearly because) This Revelation has been sent to you as well as to all the Prophets who were before you -- if you associated partners with Allâh (committed Shirk) then your deeds will be in vain and you will be in loss.

بَلِ اللَّهَ فَاعْبُدْ وَكُن مِّنْ الشَّاكِرِينَ

66.             Bali Allaha faoAAbud wakun mina alshshakireena
Therefore, (O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) you should only serve Allâh and be among the grateful devotees. 

وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّماوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

67.             Wama qadaroo Allaha haqqa qadrihi waalardu jameeAAan qabdatuhu yawma alqiyamati waalssamawatu matwiyyatun biyameenihi subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
These people have not paid due respect to Allâh, as it is HIS right to be truly respected.  (This is HIS supremacy that) On the Day of Resurrection, the entire earth will be in HIS fist and the skies will be rolled-up in HIS Right Hand.  Pure and exalted is HE from that idolatry (shirk), which these people commit.

وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَن شَاء اللَّهُ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا هُم قِيَامٌ يَنظُرُونَ

68.             Wanufikha fi as-suri fasaiqa man fi as-samawati wa man fi al-ardi Illa man shaa Allahu thumma nufikha fihi ukhra faidha hum qiyamun yanzuruna
And that Day Trumpet will be blown and they all will fall down dead who are in the skies and on the earth except those whom Allâh wants to keep alive.  Then another Trumpet will be blown and suddenly they all will arise and start looking around.

وَأَشْرَقَتِ الْأَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ وَجِيءَ بِالنَّبِيِّينَ وَالشُّهَدَاء وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

69.             Waashraqati alardu binoori rabbiha wawudiAAa alkitabu wajeea bialnnabiyyeena waalshshuhadai waqudiya baynahum bialhaqqi wahum la yuthlamoona
The earth will be shining with the light of its Râbb, the Book of deeds will be brought and kept, Prophets and all the witnesses will be presented, justice will be done among people with all fairness, no unjust will be done to them

وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ

70.             Wawuffiyat kullu nafsin ma AAamilat wahuwa aAAlamu bima yafAAaloona
And each soul will be paid in full according to his/her deeds that he/she had done.  Whatever people do -- Allâh Knows it very well.  (R) 4

وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا حَتَّى إِذَا جَاؤُوهَا فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاء يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا قَالُوا بَلَى وَلَكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ

71.             Waseeqa allatheena kafaroo ila jahannama zumaran hatta itha jaooha futihat abwabuha waqala lahum khazanatuha alam yatikum rusulun minkum yatloona AAalaykum ayati rabbikum wayunthiroonakum liqaa yawmikum hatha qaloo bala walakin haqqat kalimatu alAAathabi AAala alkafireena
(After this decision) Those people who had committed infidelity (Kufr) will be driven towards Hell in groups, till, when they will reach there then its doors will be opened and its keepers will ask them:  "Did not such Rasools come to you from among yourselves who have recited to you the Revelation of your Râbb and warned you of this thing that one day you will have to see this hour?"  They will reply: "Yes, (they) did come, but the Word of torment has been justified against the infidels (Kafir)." 

قِيلَ ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ

72.             Qeela odkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideena feeha fabisa mathwa almutakabbireena
It will be said: "Enter the gates of Hell, now you have to stay here forever, it is a worst destination for the arrogants”. 

وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا حَتَّى إِذَا جَاؤُوهَا وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوهَا خَالِدِينَ

73.             Waseeqa allatheena ittaqaw rabbahum ila aljannati zumaran hatta itha jaooha wafutihat abwabuha waqala lahum khazanatuha salamun AAalaykum tibtum faodkhulooha khalideena
And those people who used to turn away to disobey their Râbb they will be led towards Paradise in groups, till, when they will reach there, and its doors will already have been opened, then its keepers will say to them: Peace be on you (Salâmun 'Alaikum), you have done well, enter into it (to stay) forever."

وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَهُ وَأَوْرَثَنَا الْأَرْضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَاء فَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ

74.             Waqaloo alhamdu lillahi allathee sadaqana waAAdahu waawrathana alarda natabawwao mina aljannati haythu nashao faniAAma ajru alAAamileena
And they will say: "Thanks to that Allâh WHO has fulfilled HIS Promise with us and has made us the heirs of the earth, now we can make our place in the Paradise wherever we like.”  Therefore, an excellent reward is for those who do good deeds (pious). 

وَتَرَى الْمَلَائِكَةَ حَافِّينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَقِيلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

75.             Watara almalaikata haffeena min hawli alAAarshi yusabbihoona bihamdi rabbihim waqudiya baynahum bialhaqqi waqeela alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena
And you will see that the angels encircling the Throne will be glorifying the praises of their Râbb.  And a judgment will be given among the people with all fairness, and it will be called that praise is for only Allâh Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (Nourisher/Sustainer of all the worlds)."  (R) 5

 “Al-M’umin/Ghâfir – The Forgiver” – (Makki – 40^th Surah)

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

حم

1.                Hâ-Mîm.
(Hameem -- these are prefixes, muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala, knows the meanings)

تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ

2.                Tanzeelu alkitabi mina Allahi alAAazeezi alAAaleemi
The revelation of this Book is from Allâh WHO is Omnipotent, All Knowledgeable,

غَافِرِ الذَّنبِ وَقَابِلِ التَّوْبِ شَدِيدِ الْعِقَابِ ذِي الطَّوْلِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ إِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ

3.                Ghafiri alththanbi waqabili alttawbi shadeedi alAAiqabi thee alttawli la ilaha illa huwa ilayhi almaseeru
The Forgiver of sin and Acceptor of Repentance, the Severe in punishment and the great Bountiful, there is no deity except HIM (Lâ ilâha illa Huwa), all have to return to HIM.

مَا يُجَادِلُ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَلَا يَغْرُرْكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمْ فِي الْبِلَادِ

4.                Ma yujadilu fee ayati Allahi illa allatheena kafaroo fala yaghrurka taqallubuhum fee albiladi
No one disputes in the Revelation (Ayât) of Allâh but only those people who committed infidelity (Kufr).  After this -- their prosperous movements in the world should not deceive you.

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَالْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ وَجَادَلُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ

5.                Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waalahzabu min baAAdihim wahammat kullu ommatin birasoolihim liyakhuthoohu wajadaloo bialbatili liyudhidoo bihi alhaqqa faakhathtuhum fakayfa kana AAiqabi
Before them the nation of Nûh has also denied and after this many other allied has done so.  Every nation plotted against its Rasool to seize him.  They all tried to overthrow the truth by means of falsehood, but finally I seized them, then see how severe was MY punishment.

وَكَذَلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ

6.                Wakathalika haqqat kalimatu rabbika AAala allatheena kafaroo annahum ashabu alnnari
The same way the decision of your Râbb has been justified against all those people who have committed infidelity (Kufr) that they are going to enter into the Hell-Fire. 

الَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ الْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ

7.                Allatheena yahmiloona alAAarsha waman hawlahu yusabbihoona bihamdi rabbihim wayuminoona bihi wayastaghfiroona lillatheena amanoo rabbana wasiAAta kulla shayin rahmatan waAAilman faighfir lillatheena taboo waittabaAAoo sabeelaka waqihim AAathaba aljaheemi
Angels -- the bearer of the Throne of Allâh and those who remain present around the Throne (of Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala) all are glorifying the praises of their Râbb.  They have Faith in HIM and ask forgiveness for those who bring Faith.  They say: "O our Râbb, YOU are prevailing over everything with YOUR Mercy and YOUR Knowledge, so forgive and save those people from the punishment of Hell-Fire who have repented and adopted YOUR Path.

رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدتَّهُم وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

8.               Rabbana waadkhilhum jannati AAadnin allatee waAAadtahum waman salaha min abaihim waazwajihim wathurriyyatihim innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeemu
"O our Râbb, and admit them in the everlasting Paradise (the 'Adn) which YOU have promised them, and of their parents and wives and the children who are pious (send them there to them).  No doubt, YOU are Omnipotent and All Wise. 

وَقِهِمُ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَمَن تَقِ السَّيِّئَاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُ وَذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ

9.                 Waqihimu alssayyiati waman taqi alssayyiati yawmaithin faqad rahimtahu wathalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu
Whomsoever YOU saved from sins on the Day of Judgment YOU have done great mercy on him/her, this is the supreme success.  (R) 6

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِن مَّقْتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ

10.             Inna allatheena kafaroo yunadawna lamaqtu Allahi akbaru min maqtikum anfusakum ith tudAAawna ila aleemani fatakfuroona
Those people who have committed infidelity (Kufr), on the Day of Judgment they will be called out and said: "Today the anger you are having on yourself, the anger of Allâh on you was far greater than it when you were called towards the Faith and you used to commit infidelity." 

قَالُوا رَبَّنَا أَمَتَّنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَاعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلْ إِلَى خُرُوجٍ مِّن سَبِيلٍ

11.             Qaloo rabbana amattana ithnatayni waahyaytana ithnatayni faiAAtarafna bithunoobina fahal ila khuroojin min sabeelin
They will say: "O our Râbb, YOU have really given us life and death twice, now we confess our sins, now is there any way-out from here?"

ذَلِكُم بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُؤْمِنُوا فَالْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيرِ

12.            Thalikum biannahu itha duAAiya Allahu wahdahu kafartum wain yushrak bihi tuminoo faalhukmu lillahi alAAaliyyi alkabeeri
(It will be said): "The state you are in is because when you were called toward Allâh Alone then you denied to accept and when others were called with HIM then you used to believe.  Now the decision is in the Hands of Allâh the Most Exalted, the Most Great." 

هُوَ الَّذِي يُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاء رِزْقًا وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ إِلَّا مَن يُنِيبُ

13.             Huwa allathee yureekum ayatihi wayunazzilu lakum mina alssamai rizqan wama yatathakkaru illa man yuneebu
HE is the One WHO shows you HIS Signs (Ayât) and sends down provisions for you from the sky, but (by observing these signs) only that person learns a lesson -- who turns to Allâh (in obedience). 

فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ

14.             FaodAAoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena walaw kariha alkafiroona
(So O who repent), Call upon Allâh Alone by purifying your Deen (Islamic way of life) for HIM, whether your this act is disliked by the infidels (Kafir) very much.

رَفِيعُ الدَّرَجَاتِ ذُو الْعَرْشِ يُلْقِي الرُّوحَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ عَلَى مَن يَشَاء مِنْ عِبَادِهِ لِيُنذِرَ يَوْمَ التَّلَاقِ

15.             RafeeAAu alddarajati thoo alAAarshi yulqee alrrooha min amrihi AAala man yashao min AAibadihi liyunthira yawma alttalaqi
HE is of High Ranks, the Owner of the Throne.  HE sends the Inspiration by HIS Command to any of HIS devotees HE Pleases -- so that he should warn about the Day of Mutual Meeting. 

يَوْمَ هُم بَارِزُونَ لَا يَخْفَى عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ شَيْءٌ لِّمَنِ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ

16.             Yawma hum barizoona la yakhfa AAala Allahi minhum shayon limani almulku alyawma lillahi alwahidi alqahhari
The Day when all the people will be uncovered, nothing of them will be hidden from Allâh.  (That Day it will be asked loudly) Whose is the kingdom today?  (Entire universe will exclaim), Of Allâh the One and the irresistible (furious).

الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَا ظُلْمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ

17.             Alyawma tujza kullu nafsin bima kasabat la thulma alyawma inna Allaha sareeAAu alhisabi
(It will be said) Today every soul will be recompensed for his/her deeds, which he/she had earned; today no injustice shall be done to anyone.  And Allâh is very Swift in settling the accounts. 

وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْآزِفَةِ إِذِ الْقُلُوبُ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كَاظِمِينَ مَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَلَا شَفِيعٍ يُطَاعُ

18.             Waanthirhum yawma alazifati ithi alquloobu lada alhanajiri kathimeena ma lilththalimeena min hameemin wala shafeeAAin yutaAAu
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) forewarn these people from that Day, which has come closer.  When the hearts will be choking to throats and people will be stagnated standing quietly.  The cruels will neither have any close friend nor an intercessor whose word could be accepted. 

يَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الْأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ

19.             YaAAlamu khainata alaAAyuni wama tukhfee alssudooru
Allâh is even aware of the infidelity of the eyes and knows those secrets, which have been kept hidden in the hearts. 

وَاللَّهُ يَقْضِي بِالْحَقِّ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لَا يَقْضُونَ بِشَيْءٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ

20.             WaAllahu yaqdee bialhaqqi waallatheena yadAAoona min doonihi la yaqdoona bishayin inna Allaha huwa alssameeAAu albaseeru
And Allâh will decide with full justice and truth.  As for those whom (these idolaters) call except Allâh -- they are not going to judge anything.  No doubt, Allâh is All-Hearer and All-Seer.  (R) 7

أَوَ لَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ

21.             Awa lam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena kanoo min qablihim kanoo hum ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharan fee alardi faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim wama kana lahum mina Allahi min waqin
Have these people never traveled through the land that they could see the end of those people who have passed away before them?  They were more powerful than these (people) and have left great signs in the land than them.  But Allâh seized them for their sins and there was none to protect them from Allâh.

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَكَفَرُوا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ

22.             Thalika biannahum kanat tateehim rusuluhum bialbayyinati fakafaroo faakhathahumu Allahu innahu qawiyyun shadeedu alAAiqabi
They met this end because their Rasools came to them with clear signs and they refused to embrace it.  Consequently, Allâh seized them.  Certainly, HE is Omnipotent and Severe in punishment. 

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ

23.             Walaqad arsalna moosa biayatina wasultanin mubeenin
WE sent Mûsa with OUR clear Signs (Ayât), and a manifest authority of appointment,

إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَقَارُونَ فَقَالُوا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ

24.             Ila firAAawna wahamana waqaroona faqaloo sahirun kaththabun
To Fir'aun, and Hâmân, and Qâroon, but they said: "(He) Is a magician, a liar."

فَلَمَّا جَاءهُم بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا اقْتُلُوا أَبْنَاء الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ وَاسْتَحْيُوا نِسَاءهُمْ وَمَا كَيْدُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ

1.       Falamma jaahum bialhaqqi min AAindina qaloo oqtuloo abnaa allatheena amanoo maAAahu waistahyoo nisaahum wama kaydu alkafireena illa fee dalalin
And when he brought Truth to them from US then they said, "Kill the sons of those people who have brought Faith and joined him and let their daughters live".  But the plan of the infidels ended in vain.

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسَى وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَن يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ

26.             Waqala firAAawnu tharoonee aqtul moosa walyadAAu rabbahu innee akhafu an yubaddila deenakum aw an yuthhira fee alardi alfasada
One day Fir'aun said to his courtiers: "Leave me, I am going to kill this Mûsa, and let him call his Râbb.  I fear that he will change your Deen (way of life), or will create mischief in the country."

وَقَالَ مُوسَى إِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُم مِّن كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ

27.             Waqala moosa innee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum min kulli mutakabbirin la yuminu biyawmi alhisabi
Mûsa said: "I have taken refuge with my Râbb and your Râbb against every arrogant who does not have Faith in the Day of Reckoning”.  (R) 8 

وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ إِيمَانَهُ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلًا أَن يَقُولَ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ وَقَدْ جَاءكُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ وَإِن يَكُ كَاذِبًا فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهُ وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقًا يُصِبْكُم بَعْضُ الَّذِي يَعِدُكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ

28.             Waqala rajulun muminun min ali firAAawna yaktumu eemanahu ataqtuloona rajulan an yaqoola rabbiyya Allahu waqad jaakum bialbayyinati min rabbikum wain yaku kathiban faAAalayhi kathibuhu wain yaku sadiqan yusibkum baAAdu allathee yaAAidukum inna Allaha la yahdee man huwa musrifun kaththabun
On that occasion a believer man from among the family of Fir'aun, who was keeping his Faith hidden, he said: "Would you kill a man because he says my Râbb is Allâh?  Whereas he has brought to you clear signs from your Râbb.  If he is a liar then his lie will be on him.  But if he is truthful then some of the calamity with which he threatens you -- will certainly befall on you."  Allâh does not guide any such person who crosses all the limits (Musrif) and a liar. 

يَا قَوْمِ لَكُمُ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ ظَاهِرِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَن يَنصُرُنَا مِن بَأْسِ اللَّهِ إِنْ جَاءنَا قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ مَا أُرِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَا أَرَى وَمَا أَهْدِيكُمْ إِلَّا سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ

29.             Ya qawmi lakumu almulku alyawma thahireena fee alardi faman yansuruna min basi Allahi in jaana qala firAAawnu ma oreekum illa ma ara wama ahdeekum illa sabeela alrrashadi
O people of my nation, today you have the kingdom and you are widespread in the land, but if the calamity of Allâh come on us then who will save us from it."  Fir'aun said: "I am giving you only that advice which seems proper to me and I am guiding you towards that path which is right”. 

وَقَالَ الَّذِي آمَنَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُم مِّثْلَ يَوْمِ الْأَحْزَابِ

30.             Waqala allathee amana ya qawmi innee akhafu AAalaykum mithla yawmi alahzabi
The person who had brought Faith said: "O people of my nation, I fear that the same day should not come on you which has come to many nations before it,

مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ

31.             Mithla dabi qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waallatheena min baAAdihim wama Allahu yureedu thulman lilAAibadi
A day that seized the people of Nûh and 'Ad and Thamûd and those nations who came after them.  And this is fact that Allâh does not intend to do injustice to HIS servants. 

وَيَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَوْمَ التَّنَادِ

32.             Waya qawmi innee akhafu AAalaykum yawma alttanadi
O nation, I fear that Day of appeal and cry should not come to you when you will call each other 

يَوْمَ تُوَلُّونَ مُدْبِرِينَ مَا لَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ

33.             Yawma tuwalloona mudbireena ma lakum mina Allahi min AAasimin waman yudlili Allahu fama lahu min hadin
And will be running around, but at that time there will be no one to save you from Allâh.  The truth is that whomsoever Allâh let go astray then there is none to guide him/her. 

وَلَقَدْ جَاءكُمْ يُوسُفُ مِن قَبْلُ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَاءكُم بِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَن يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ رَسُولًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُّرْتَابٌ

34.             Walaqad jaakum yoosufu min qablu bialbayyinati fama ziltum fee shakkin mimma jaakum bihi hatta itha halaka qultum lan yabAAatha Allahu min baAAdihi rasoolan kathalika yudillu Allahu man huwa musrifun murtabun
Before this Yûsuf had come to you with clear signs but you remained in doubts from the teaching he brought.  And when he passed away then you said: "Now Allâh will never send any other Rasool after him"¾in the same way Allâh let go astray all those people who cross the limits (Musrif) and are doubters (Murtâb)

الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ اللَّهِ وَعِندَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كَذَلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ قَلْبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ

35.             Allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi bighayri sultanin atahum kabura maqtan AAinda Allahi waAAinda allatheena amanoo kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala kulli qalbi mutakabbirin jabbarin
And dispute about the Revelation (Ayât) of Allâh.  Without any proof or authority that has come to them.  This attitude is greatly hateful and disgusting to Allâh and those who have brought Faith.  In the same way, Allâh seals up the heart of every arrogant, tyrant person.

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَا هَامَانُ ابْنِ لِي صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّي أَبْلُغُ الْأَسْبَابَ

36.             Waqala firAAawnu ya hamanu ibni lee sarhan laAAallee ablughu alasbaba
Fir'aun said: "O Hâmân, build a tall building for me so that I could reach to the ways, 

أَسْبَابَ السَّمَاوَاتِ فَأَطَّلِعَ إِلَى إِلَهِ مُوسَى وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُ كَاذِبًا وَكَذَلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرْعَوْنَ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَصُدَّ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا كَيْدُ فِرْعَوْنَ إِلَّا فِي تَبَابٍ

37.             Asbaba alssamawati faattaliAAa ila ilahi moosa wainnee laathunnuhu kathiban wakathalika zuyyina lifirAAawna sooo AAamalihi wasudda AAani alssabeeli wama kaydu firAAawna illa fee tababin
The ways of the skies, and peek at Mûsa's Allâh (Ilâh).  To me this Mûsa seems a liar"¾this is how the misdeeds of Fir'aun were made delighted to him and he has been stopped from the straight path.  Fir'aun’s all tricks led toward (his own) destruction.  (R) 9

وَقَالَ الَّذِي آمَنَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُونِ أَهْدِكُمْ سَبِيلَ الرَّشَادِ

38.             Waqala allathee amana ya qawmi ittabiAAooni ahdikum sabeela alrrashadi
That person, who had brought Faith, said: "O people of my nation, take my word, I guide you to the right path.

يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّمَا هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا مَتَاعٌ وَإِنَّ الْآخِرَةَ هِيَ دَارُ الْقَرَارِ

39.             Ya qawmi innama hathihi alhayatu alddunya mataAAun wainna alakhirata hiya daru alqarari
O nation, this worldly life is for a few days, everlasting place to stay is only the Hereafter." 

مَنْ عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةً فَلَا يُجْزَى إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُوْلَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ يُرْزَقُونَ فِيهَا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

40.             Man AAamila sayyiatan fala yujza illa mithlaha waman AAamila salihan min thakarin aw ontha wahuwa muminun faolaika yadkhuloona aljannata yurzaqoona feeha bighayri hisabin
Whosoever will do evil deeds he/she will be recompensed according to the misdeed he/she would have earned.  And whosoever will do righteous deeds, whether male or female, provided he/she is a believer, all such people will enter to the Paradise where they will be given unlimited provisions. 

وَيَا قَوْمِ مَا لِي أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى النَّجَاةِ وَتَدْعُونَنِي إِلَى النَّارِ

41.             Waya qawmi malee adAAookum ila alnnajati watadAAoonanee ila alnnari
O nation, after all what is the matter that I call you towards the salvation and you invite me towards the Fire! 

تَدْعُونَنِي لِأَكْفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَأُشْرِكَ بِهِ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَأَنَا أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى الْعَزِيزِ الْغَفَّارِ

42.             TadAAoonanee liakfura biAllahi waoshrika bihi ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun waana adAAookum ila alAAazeezi alghaffari
You ask me to commit infidelity with Allâh and to associate those deities (Ilâhan) with HIM -- whom I don’t know, whereas I am inviting you to the Omnipotent, Oft Forgiving Allâh.

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَعْوَةٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ هُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ

43.             La jarama annama tadAAoonanee ilayhi laysa lahu daAAwatun fee alddunya wala fee alakhirati waanna maraddana ila Allahi waanna almusrifeena hum ashabu alnnari
Absolutely not, this is the truth and nothing can be done against it, but to whom you are inviting me there is no call for them in this world as well as in the Hereafter, and we all have to return to Allâh and the transgressors (Al-Musrifûn) are going to enter into Fire.

فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ

44.             Fasatathkuroona ma aqoolu lakum waofawwidu amree ila Allahi inna Allaha baseerun bialAAibadi
Today whatever I am saying, soon that time will come when you will remember it.  And I entrust my affairs to Allâh HE is observant over HIS servants.” 

فَوَقَاهُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا وَحَاقَ بِآلِ فِرْعَوْنَ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ

45.             Fawaqahu Allahu sayyiati ma makaroo wahaqa biali firAAawna sooo alAAathabi
Finally, Allâh saved him from all the evil plans, which those people plotted against that believer, and Fir'aun's companions themselves were encircled by severe punishment.

النَّارُ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيْهَا غُدُوًّا وَعَشِيًّا وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ أَدْخِلُوا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ أَشَدَّ الْعَذَابِ

46.             Alnnaru yuAAradoona AAalayha ghuduwwan waAAashiyyan wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu adkhiloo ala firAAawna ashadda alAAathabi
It is the Fire of Hell before which they are presented morning and evening, and when the Dooms Day will be established then it will be commanded that enter all the people of Fir'aun into the severest torment.

وَإِذْ يَتَحَاجُّونَ فِي النَّارِ فَيَقُولُ الضُّعَفَاء لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا نَصِيبًا مِّنَ النَّارِ

47.             Waith yatahajjoona fee alnnari fayaqoolu aldduAAafao lillatheena istakbaroo inna kunna lakum tabaAAan fahal antum mughnoona AAanna naseeban mina alnnari
Then just imagine about that time when these people will be disputing with one another in the Hell.  Those people who were weak in the world will say to those who were leaders that; "We were your followers, now will you save us a little bit from the pain of our punishment here in the Hell”? 

قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ حَكَمَ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ

48.             Qala allatheena istakbaroo inna kullun feeha inna Allaha qad hakama bayna alAAibadi
Those leaders will reply, "Here we all are in the same situation, and Allâh has given the verdict among the servants”. 

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ فِي النَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ

49.             Waqala allatheena fee alnnari likhazanati jahannama odAAoo rabbakum yukhaffif AAanna yawman mina alAAathabi
Then the dwellers of Hell will say to the keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Râbb that HE should lighten our torment just for a day”. 

قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيكُمْ رُسُلُكُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالُوا فَادْعُوا وَمَا دُعَاء الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ

50.             Qaloo awa lam taku tateekum rusulukum bialbayyinati qaloo bala qaloo faodAAoo wama duAAao alkafireena illa fee dalalin
They will ask: "Had not Rasools been coming to you with clear evidences and signs?”  They will say, "Yes”.  The keepers of Hell will say: "Then you pray yourselves, and the prayer of infidels (Kafir) is only going to be wasted”.  (R) 10

إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْأَشْهَادُ

51.             Inna lanansuru rusulana waallatheena amanoo fee alhayati alddunya wayawma yaqoomu alashhadu
Believe it that WE surely do help OUR Rasools and those who have brought Faith in this worldly life, and shall also help on that Day when the witnesses will stand up,

يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ

52.             Yawma la yanfaAAu alththalimeena maAAthiratuhum walahumu allaAAnatu walahum sooo alddari
When the excuses of the cruel will not help them at all -- and there will be a curse on them and the worst place will come in their share. 

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْهُدَى وَأَوْرَثْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ

53.             Walaqad atayna moosa alhuda waawrathna banee israeela alkitaba
Just see that WE guided Mûsa and made the Children of Israel the heirs of that Book,

هُدًى وَذِكْرَى لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ

54.             Hudan wathikra liolee alalbabi
This was guidance and a reminder -- for those who had commonsense.

فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِبْكَارِ

55.             Faisbir inna waAAda Allahi haqqun waistaghfir lithanbika wasabbih bihamdi rabbika bialAAashiyyi waalibkari
Therefore O Prophet (O Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), be patient, the Promise of Allâh is all-true, ask forgiveness for your faults and keep glorifying your Râbb with HIS praise in the morning and evening.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ سُلْطَانٍ أَتَاهُمْ إِن فِي صُدُورِهِمْ إِلَّا كِبْرٌ مَّا هُم بِبَالِغِيهِ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ

56.             Inna allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi bighayri sultanin atahum in fee sudoorihim illa kibrun ma hum bibaligheehi faistaAAith biAllahi innahu huwa alssameeAAu albaseeru
The fact is that those people who are disputing about the Revelation (Ayât) of Allâh without any authority that has come to them, pride is filled in their hearts, but they are never going to achieve that height for which they have the pride.  Therefore, ask for the protection of Allâh HE Hears and Sees everything. 

لَخَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاسِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

57.             Lakhalqu alssamawati waalardi akbaru min khalqi alnnasi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
The creation of the skies and the earth is no doubt a bigger task than the creation of humankind, but most of the people don’t know.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَلَا الْمُسِيءُ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ

58.             Wama yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati wala almuseeo qaleelan ma tatathakkaroona
And a blind and the one with sight can never be equal and nor the truthful, pious and wicked can be equal.  But you people seldom understand.

إِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

59.             Inna alssaAAata laatiyatun la rayba feeha walakinna akthara alnnasi la yuminoona
Certainly the Hour of Judgment is going to come, there is no doubt in its coming, but most of the people do not believe. 

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ

60.             Waqala rabbukumu odAAoonee astajib lakum inna allatheena yastakbiroona AAan AAibadatee sayadkhuloona jahannama dakhireena
Your Râbb says: "Call ME, I shall answer your prayers, those people who in pride turn away from MY worship, they will certainly enter the Hell with humiliation.”  (R) 11

اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ

61.             Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla litaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran inna Allaha lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yashkuroona
HE is Allâh WHO has made the night for you -- so that you may rest in it, and has brightened the day.  The fact is that Allâh is full of Bounty to humankind, but most of people are not thankful. 

ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ

62.             Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum khaliqu kulli shayin la ilaha illa huwa faanna tufakoona
The same Allâh (WHO has done all that for you) is your Râbb.  The Creator of everything.  There is none worthy of worship except HIM (Lâ ilâha illa Huwa).  Then from where are you being misled?

كَذَلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ

63.             Kathalika yufaku allatheena kanoo biayati Allahi yajhadoona
In the same way all those people have been misled who used to deny the Revelation (Ayât) of Allâh.

اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَالسَّمَاء بِنَاء وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

64.             Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumu alarda qararan waalssamaa binaan wasawwarakum faahsana suwarakum warazaqakum mina alttayyibati thalikumu Allahu rabbukum fatabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameena
HE is Allâh WHO has made the earth a resting-place for you and a dome of sky over it.  The One WHO made your figure and made it (shaped you) very well.  WHO gave you the provisions of pure things.  The same Allâh (WHO did all this) is your Râbb.  With infinite Blessings (HE) the Râbb of the entire universe ('Alamîn).

هُوَ الْحَيُّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

65.             Huwa alhayyu la ilaha illa huwa faodAAoohu mukhliseena lahu alddeena alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena
HE is Ever Living.  There is none worthy of worship except HIM (Lâ ilâha illa Huwa).  You should call HIM Alone by purifying your Deen for HIM.  All the praises are for the Allâh the Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (Nourisher/Sustainer of the entire world). 

قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَمَّا جَاءنِيَ الْبَيِّنَاتُ مِن رَّبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

66.             Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi lamma jaaniya albayyinatu min rabbee waomirtu an oslima lirabbi alAAalameena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), tell these people: “I have been forbidden to worship those deities whom you worship except Allâh”.  (How can I do so)  When the clear sign has come to me from my Râbb.  I have been commanded to submit to the Râbb of the entire world (Râbb-ul-'Alamîn). 

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُوا شُيُوخًا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّى مِن قَبْلُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا أَجَلًا مُّسَمًّى وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

67.             Huwa allathee khalaqakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma min AAalaqatin thumma yukhrijukum tiflan thumma litablughoo ashuddakum thumma litakoonoo shuyookhan waminkum man yutawaffa min qablu walitablughoo ajalan musamman walaAAallakum taAAqiloona
HE is the One WHO created you (Adam) from dust, then from sperm (Nutfah), then from the clot of blood, then HE brings you out as an infant (baby), then makes you to grow so that you reach to your full strength, then HE makes you to grow further so that you reach to an old age.  And someone among you is called back (die) earlier.  This all is done so that you can reach to your appointed time, and for this reason that you may understand the reality

هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ فَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ

68.             Huwa allathee yuhyee wayumeetu faitha qada amran fainnama yaqoolu lahu kun fayakoonu
HE is the One WHO gives life, and HE causes death.  Whatever decisions HE makes, (HE) just gives an order, it to “Be” and it is.  (R) 12

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ أَنَّى يُصْرَفُونَ

69.             Alam tara ila allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi anna yusrafoona
Have you seen those people who dispute about the Revelation (Ayâts) of Allâh from where they are being turned away?

الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِالْكِتَابِ وَبِمَا أَرْسَلْنَا بِهِ رُسُلَنَا فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

70.             Allatheena kaththaboo bialkitabi wabima arsalna bihi rusulana fasawfa yaAAlamoona
These people who deny this Book (Al-Qur'ân) and all those Books, which WE had sent with OUR Rasools, soon they will come to know

إِذِ الْأَغْلَالُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ وَالسَّلَاسِلُ يُسْحَبُونَ

71.             Ithi alaghlalu fee aAAnaqihim waalssalasilu yushaboona
When collars will be around their necks, and the chains, with which they shall be dragged

فِي الْحَمِيمِ ثُمَّ فِي النَّارِ يُسْجَرُونَ

72.             Fee alhameemi thumma fee alnnari yusjaroona
Towards the boiling water and then will be burned in the Hell-Fire. 

ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ

73.             Thumma qeela lahum ayna ma kuntum tushrikoona
Then they will be asked: "Now where are those other deities whom you used to associate (in worship as partners)

مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا بَل لَّمْ نَكُن نَّدْعُو مِن قَبْلُ شَيْئًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الْكَافِرِينَ

74.             Min dooni Allahi qaloo dalloo AAanna bal lam nakun nadAAoo min qablu shayan kathalika yudillu Allahu alkafireena
Except Allâh”.  They will reply: "They have been lost from us, whereas we did not use to invoke anything before it”.  Thus, Allâh will establish the deviation of the infidels (Kafir). 

ذَلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ

75.             Thalikum bima kuntum tafrahoona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi wabima kuntum tamrahoona
They will be told that, “You have reached to this end because you had been busy on the earth in things other than the Truth and then used to be proud of it.

ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ

76.             Odkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideena feeha fabisa mathwa almutakabbireena
Now go, enter the gates of Hell, you have to stay there forever, it is the worst staying place for the arrogant. 

فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ

77.             Faisbir inna waAAda Allahi haqqun faimma nuriyannaka baAAda allathee naAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka failayna yurjaAAoona
Therefore O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), be patient, the Promise of Allâh is true.  Now whether WE show them in your presence some part of their bad deeds from which WE have been scaring them, or (before it) WE call you back from this world, they have to return to US.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًا مِّن قَبْلِكَ مِنْهُم مَّن قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِآيَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ فَإِذَا جَاء أَمْرُ اللَّهِ قُضِيَ بِالْحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ

78.             Walaqad arsalna rusulan min qablika minhum man qasasna AAalayka waminhum man lam naqsus AAalayka wama kana lirasoolin an yatiya biayatin illa biithni Allahi faitha jaa amru Allahi qudiya bialhaqqi wakhasira hunalika almubtiloona
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), WE have sent many Rasools before you from among them WE have revealed the history of some of them to you and of others WE have not.  It was not in the power of any Rasool to bring forth a sign himself without the Leave of Allâh.  And when the command of Allâh came, then the judgment was passed with truth and at that time, the wrongdoers were in losses.  (R) 13

اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَنْعَامَ لِتَرْكَبُوا مِنْهَا وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

79.             Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumu alanAAama litarkaboo minha waminha takuloona
Allâh has created these cattle for you so that you may ride on some of them and eat the meat of others. 

وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا عَلَيْهَا حَاجَةً فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ

80.             Walakum feeha manafiAAu walitablughoo AAalayha hajatan fee sudoorikum waAAalayha waAAala alfulki tuhmaloona
There are many other benefits in them for you.  They are also used for the purpose that you ride them and reach to the places wherever your hearts desire to go.  You are carried on them as well as on the boats.

وَيُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ فَأَيَّ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تُنكِرُونَ

81.             Wayureekum ayatihi faayya ayati Allahi tunkiroona
Allâh is showing HIS -- these signs to you; after all which signs of HIS will you then deny?

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

82.             Afalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim kanoo akthara minhum waashadda quwwatan waatharan fee alardi fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona
Have then they not traveled through the land that they could see the end of those people who have passed away before them?  They were more in numbers than these, mightier in strength than these people, and have left greater traces in the land than them.  Whatever they had earned, did it benefit them at all? 

فَلَمَّا جَاءتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون

83.             Falamma jaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati farihoo bima AAindahum mina alAAilmi wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona
When their Rasools came to them with clear proofs then they kept busy in the same knowledge that they already had, and then were encircled by the same thing of which they used to make fun.

فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ

84.             Falamma raaw basana qaloo amanna biAllahi wahdahu wakafarna bima kunna bihi mushrikeena
When they saw OUR punishment then they cried out: "We believed in Allâh Alone having no partners and we reject all those deities whom we used to associate with HIM.

فَلَمْ يَكُ يَنفَعُهُمْ إِيمَانُهُمْ لَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا سُنَّتَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي قَدْ خَلَتْ فِي عِبَادِهِ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الْكَافِرُونَ

85.             Falam yaku yanfaAAuhum eemanuhum lamma raaw basana sunnata Allahi allatee qad khalat fee AAibadihi wakhasira hunalika alkafiroona
But after seeing OUR punishment their Faith could not be beneficial for them at all, because this is predetermine practice of Allâh that has always been implemented among HIS servants, and at that time the infidels (Kafir) incurred loss.  (R) 14

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

حم

1.                Hâ-Mîm.
(Hameem -- these are prefixes, muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala, knows the meanings).

تَنزِيلٌ مِّنَ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

2.                Tanzeelun mina alrrahmani alrraheemi
This is that has been revealed from Allâh the Most Loving and the Most Merciful.

كِتَابٌ فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

3.                Kitabun fussilat ayatuhu quranan AAarabiyyan liqawmin yaAAlamoona
A Book whose verses are well illustrated, Al-Qur'ân in Arabic Language, for those people who have the knowledge,

بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ

4.                Basheeran wanatheeran faaAArada aktharuhum fahum la yasmaAAoona
A giver of good news and a warner.  But from among those people most turned away from it and they do not listen.

وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ

5.               Waqaloo quloobuna fee akinnatin mimma tadAAoona ilayhi wafee athanina waqrun wamin baynina wabaynika hijabun faiAAmal innana AAamiloona
They say: "Toward which you are inviting us our hearts are shielded from it, our ears have become deaf, and there is a screen between you and us.  You do your job, we will keep doing our job. 

قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا إِلَيْهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ

6.               Qul innama ana basharun mithlukum yooha ilayya annama ilahukum ilahun wahidun faistaqeemoo ilayhi waistaghfiroohu wawaylun lilmushrikeena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), tell them: "I am a person like you.  I have been told by revelation that your deity (Ilâh) is only One Allâh (Ilâh), therefore you take the Straight Path towards HIM and ask for HIS forgiveness.  Destruction is for those idolaters (Al-Mushrikûn) --

الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ

7.               Allatheena la yutoona alzzakata wahum bialakhirati hum kafiroona
Who do not pay the poor-dues (Zakât) and are the deniers of the Hereafter. 

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ

8.               Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoonin
As for those people who have embraced (it) and done righteous deeds, certainly there is such reward for them, which is never going to end.  (R) 15

قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُ أَندَادًا ذَلِكَ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

9.               Qul ainnakum latakfuroona biallathee khalaqa alarda fee yawmayni watajAAaloona lahu andadan thalika rabbu alAAalameena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), ask them: "Do you commit infidelity with that Allâh and take others as HIS equal -- WHO created the earth in two Days?  HE is the Râbb of all the worlds ('Alamîn).

وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ مِن فَوْقِهَا وَبَارَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَا أَقْوَاتَهَا فِي أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَاء لِّلسَّائِلِينَ

10.           WajaAAala feeha rawasiya min fawqiha wabaraka feeha waqaddara feeha aqwataha fee arbaAAati ayyamin sawaan lilssaileena
HE (after creating the earth) from above placed mountains over it and (HE) placed blessings in it and in it provided means of sustenance with an accurate measures according to the needs and demands of all those who ask for it.  All this was done in four days.

ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاء وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ اِئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ

11.           Thumma istawa ila alssamai wahiya dukhanun faqala laha walilardi itiya tawAAan aw karhan qalata atayna taiAAeena
Then HE turned toward the sky, which was only a smoke at that time.  HE said to the sky and the earth: "Come into existence, whether you want or not."  They both said: "We come like an obedient." 

فَقَضَاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَى فِي كُلِّ سَمَاء أَمْرَهَا وَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاء الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَحِفْظًا ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ

12.           Faqadahunna sabAAa samawatin fee yawmayni waawha fee kulli samain amraha wazayyanna alssamaa alddunya bimasabeeha wahifthan thalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemi
Then HE created the skies in two days, and ordained its law in each sky.  And WE decorated the sky of the world with lamps (stars) and secured it well.  All this is a plan of that WHO is Omnipotent and the All Knower. 

فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَاعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَاعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ

13.           Fain aAAradoo fuqul anthartukum saAAiqatan mithla saAAiqati AAadin wathamooda
Now if these people turn away then say to them: "I warn you of a suddenly seizing torment (Sâ'iqah) like the one which came over the nations of 'Ad and Thamûd."

إِذْ جَاءتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ قَالُوا لَوْ شَاء رَبُّنَا لَأَنزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً فَإِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ

14.            Ith jaathumu alrrusulu min bayni aydeehim wamin khalfihim alla taAAbudoo illa Allaha qaloo law shaa rabbuna laanzala malaikatan fainna bima orsiltum bihi kafiroona
When the Rasools of Allâh came to them from front and behind, from all sides and made them to understand that do not serve anyone else except Allâh then they said: "If our Râbb wanted then (HE) would have sent down angels, therefore we do not accept that thing for which you have been sent." 

فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ

15.           Faamma AAadun faistakbaroo fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi waqaloo man ashaddu minna quwwatan awa lam yaraw anna Allaha allathee khalaqahum huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatan wakanoo biayatina yajhadoona
As for 'Ad, they became arrogant in the land without any truth and began to say: "Who is more powerful than us?"  Did it not come to their minds that Allâh WHO has created them HE is more powerful than them?  They keep denying OUR Revelation (Ayât),

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَخْزَى وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ

16.            Faarsalna AAalayhim reehan sarsaran fee ayyamin nahisatin linutheeqahum AAathaba alkhizyi fee alhayati alddunya walaAAathabu alakhirati akhza wahum la yunsaroona
Eventually, WE sent upon them furious wind in a few evil omen days so that to make them taste the humiliating torment in this worldly life, and the torment of the Hereafter is more disgracing than it, there will be none to help them.

وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ فَاسْتَحَبُّوا الْعَمَى عَلَى الْهُدَى فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَاعِقَةُ الْعَذَابِ الْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ

17.           Waamma thamoodu fahadaynahum faistahabboo alAAama AAala alhuda faakhathathum saAAiqatu alAAathabi alhooni bima kanoo yaksiboona
As for Thamûd, WE showed them Straight Path, but instead of seeing the Straight Path, they preferred to remain blind.  Finally, the humiliating torment (Sâ'iqah) seized them because of their misdeeds.

وَنَجَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ

18.            Wanajjayna allatheena amanoo wakanoo yattaqoona
And WE saved those people who had brought Faith and used to refrain from mistakes and misdeeds.  (R) 16

وَيَوْمَ يُحْشَرُ أَعْدَاء اللَّهِ إِلَى النَّارِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ

19.            Wayawma yuhsharu aAAdao Allahi ila alnnari fahum yoozaAAoona
And just think about that time -- when the enemies of Allâh will be brought together to be driven towards Hell.  Their preceding will be retained until the succeeding comes. 

حَتَّى إِذَا مَا جَاؤُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَارُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

20.            Hatta itha ma jaooha shahida AAalayhim samAAuhum waabsaruhum wajulooduhum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona
And when they all will reach there then their ears and their eyes and the skins of their bodies will testify against them that what they have been doing in the world.

وَقَالُوا لِجُلُودِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدتُّمْ عَلَيْنَا قَالُوا أَنطَقَنَا اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ خَلَقَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

21.            Waqaloo lijuloodihim lima shahidtum AAalayna qaloo antaqana Allahu allathee antaqa kulla shayin wahuwa khalaqakum awwala marratin wailayhi turjaAAoona
They will say to the skins of their bodies: "Why did you testify against us?"  They will respond: "The same Allâh has given us the power to speak who has caused everything to speak.  HE had created you the first time and now to HIM you are being brought back."

وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمْ وَلَكِن ظَنَنتُمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَعْلَمُ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

22.            Wama kuntum tastatiroona an yashhada AAalaykum samAAukum wala absarukum wala juloodukum walakin thanantum anna Allaha la yaAAlamu katheeran mimma taAAmaloona
When you used to hide while committing crimes in the world then it never occurred to you that, your own ears and your eyes and your skins will ever testify against you.  Whereas you had thought, that even Allâh does not know about most of your deeds. 

وَذَلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنتُم بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم مِّنْ الْخَاسِرِينَ

23.            Wathalikum thannukumu allathee thanantum birabbikum ardakum faasbahtum mina alkhasireena
Your same thought, which you had rationalized about your Râbb, has brought you to destruction and because of it you have incurred loss.” 

فَإِن يَصْبِرُوا فَالنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ وَإِن يَسْتَعْتِبُوا فَمَا هُم مِّنَ الْمُعْتَبِينَ

24.            Fain yasbiroo faalnnaru mathwan lahum wain yastaAAtiboo fama hum mina almuAAtabeena
In this situation -- they should be patient (or not) the Fire will be their destination, and if they will seek a chance of repentance then no chance will be given.

وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَاء فَزَيَّنُوا لَهُم مَّا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِي أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا خَاسِرِينَ

25.            Waqayyadna lahum quranaa fazayyanoo lahum ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wahaqqa AAalayhimu alqawlu fee omamin qad khalat min qablihim mina aljinni waalinsi innahum kanoo khasireena
WE had assigned such companions with them who made everything pleasant and presented to them from front and behind, finally the same word of torment was justified against them as it was justified against the jinns and men who had passed away before them, certainly they were the losers.  (R) 17

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَسْمَعُوا لِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ وَالْغَوْا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَغْلِبُونَ

26.            Waqala allatheena kafaroo la tasmaAAoo lihatha alqurani wailghaw feehi laAAallakum taghliboona
These deniers of Truth say: "Never listen to this Al-Qur'ân and when it is recited then (they) create interference in it, perhaps in this way you may overcome." 

فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

27.            Falanutheeqanna allatheena kafaroo AAathaban shadeedan walanajziyannahum aswaa allathee kanoo yaAAmaloona
WE shall certainly make the infidels (Kafir) to taste severe torment and the worst deeds they have been doing WE shall repay them in full for it.

ذَلِكَ جَزَاء أَعْدَاء اللَّهِ النَّارُ لَهُمْ فِيهَا دَارُ الْخُلْدِ جَزَاء بِمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ

28.            Thalika jazao aAAdai Allahi alnnaru lahum feeha daru alkhuldi jazaan bima kanoo biayatina yajhadoona
It is a Hell, which will be given in requital to the enemies of Allâh.  In it, they will reside forever.  This is a punishment for the crime; that they have been denying OUR Revelation (Ayât). 

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّنَا أَرِنَا الَّذَيْنِ أَضَلَّانَا مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُونَا مِنَ الْأَسْفَلِينَ

29.            Waqala allatheena kafaroo rabbana arina allathayni adallana mina aljinni waalinsi najAAalhuma tahta aqdamina liyakoona mina alasfaleena
There these infidels (Kafir) will say: "O our Râbb, just show us those jinns and humans who led us astray, we shall crush them under our feet so that they should be humiliated the lowest." 

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ

30.            Inna allatheena qaloo rabbuna Allahu thumma istaqamoo tatanazzalu AAalayhimu almalaikatu alla takhafoo wala tahzanoo waabshiroo bialjannati allatee kuntum tooAAadoona
Those people who said: "Allâh is our Râbb and then they stood firm on it (Istaqâmû) certainly, the angels descend on them and say to them: "Do not fear, nor grieve, and be happy with the good news of Paradise that have been promised to you. 

نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِي أَنفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَدَّعُونَ

31.            Nahnu awliyaokum fee alhayati alddunya wafee alakhirati walakum feeha ma tashtahee anfusukum walakum feeha ma taddaAAoona
We are your friends in this worldly life and as well as in the Hereafter.  There whatever you will desire you will get it and everything that your desire will be yours, 

نُزُلًا مِّنْ غَفُورٍ رَّحِيمٍ

32.            Nuzulan min ghafoorin raheemin
These are the provisions of entertainment from the One (Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala) WHO is Most Forgiving and Most Loving.”  (R) 18

وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِّمَّن دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

33.            Waman ahsanu qawlan mimman daAAa ila Allahi waAAamila salihan waqala innanee mina almuslimeena
And whose word would be better than the one who called towards Allâh and does righteous deeds and said: "I am Muslim." 

وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ

34.            Wala tastawee alhasanatu wala alssayyiatu idfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanu faitha allathee baynaka wabaynahu AAadawatun kaannahu waliyyun hameemun
And O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), the piety and the evil are not equal.  You should repel the evil with that righteousness which is the best.  You will see that the one with whom you had enmity he/she has become your very close friend.

وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ

35.            Wama yulaqqaha illa allatheena sabaroo wama yulaqqaha illa thoo haththin AAatheemin
This quality is not attainable by anyone except those people who remain patient and this rank cannot be attained by anyone except those people who are of great luck.

وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

36.            Waimma yanzaghannaka mina alshshaytani nazghun faistaAAith biAllahi innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
And if you feel any motivation from Shaitân then seek, protection of Allâh HE hears and sees everything.

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ

37.            Wamin ayatihi allaylu waalnnaharu waalshshamsu waalqamaru la tasjudoo lilshshamsi wala lilqamari waosjudoo lillahi alathee khalaqahunna in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona
From among the Signs of Allâh are night and day, and sun and moon.  Do not prostrate yourselves before sun and moon but prostrate yourselves before that Allâh WHO has created them if you really are HIS devotees/worshipers.

فَإِنِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فَالَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْأَمُونَ(Al- Sajjdah)

38.            Faini istakbaroo faallatheena AAinda rabbika yusabbihoona lahu biallayli waalnnahari wahum la yasamoona
But if in arrogance these people persist in their way then who cares, the angels those are nearest to your Râbb they are glorifying HIM night and day and never get tired

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنَّكَ تَرَى الْأَرْضَ خَاشِعَةً فَإِذَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاء اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ إِنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى إِنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

39.            Wamin ayatihi annaka tara alarda khashiAAatan faitha anzalna AAalayha almaa ihtazzat warabat inna allathee ahyaha lamuhyee almawta innahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
The one sign among the Signs of Allâh is that you see the barren earth then as soon as WE showered down water on it, all of sudden it flourished and swells.  Certainly, the Allâh WHO gives life to the dead land HE is also a giver of life to the dead (humankinds).  Certainly, HE is able to do all things.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا لَا يَخْفَوْنَ عَلَيْنَا أَفَمَن يُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ خَيْرٌ أَم مَّن يَأْتِي آمِنًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

40.            Inna allatheena yulhidoona fee ayatina la yakhfawna AAalayna afaman yulqa fee alnnari khayrun amman yatee aminan yawma alqiyamati iAAmaloo ma shitum innahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun
Those people who give wrong meanings to OUR Revelation (Ayât) they are not hidden from US.  Think yourselves that, is that person better who is going to be burned into the Fire or the one who will come in peace on the Day of Resurrection?  Keep acting according to your desires, Allâh is watching all your activities.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالذِّكْرِ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ وَإِنَّهُ لَكِتَابٌ عَزِيزٌ

41.            Inna allatheena kafaroo bialththikri lamma jaahum wainnahu lakitabun AAazeezun
These are those people who refused to take the advice when it came to them.  But the Truth is that it is an incredible Book,           

لَا يَأْتِيهِ الْبَاطِلُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِ تَنزِيلٌ مِّنْ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيدٍ

42.            La yateehi albatilu min bayni yadayhi wala min khalfihi tanzeelun min hakeemin hameedin
Falsehood can neither come to it from front nor from behind, this is a thing revealed by the One WHO is All-Wise and All Praiseworthy.

مَا يُقَالُ لَكَ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ قِيلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِن قَبْلِكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ وَذُو عِقَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

43.            Ma yuqalu laka illa ma qad qeela lilrrusuli min qablika inna rabbaka lathoo maghfiratin wathoo AAiqabin aleemin
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), whatever is being said to you there is nothing in it, which has not been said to the Rasools before you.  No doubt, your Râbb is Most Forgiving, and as well as HE is also severe in Punishment.

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا أَعْجَمِيًّا لَّقَالُوا لَوْلَا فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ أَأَعْجَمِيٌّ وَعَرَبِيٌّ قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدًى وَشِفَاء وَالَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرٌ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمًى أُوْلَئِكَ يُنَادَوْنَ مِن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ

44.            Walaw jaAAalnahu quranan aAAjamiyyan laqaloo lawla fussilat ayatuhu aaAAjamiyyun waAAarabiyyun qul huwa lillatheena amanoo hudan washifaon waallatheena la yuminoona fee athanihim waqrun wahuwa AAalayhim AAaman olaika yunadawna min makanin baAAeedin
If WE have sent this Al-Qur'ân in a foreign language (other than Arabic) then these people would have said: "Why its Verses have not been explained in detail (in our language)?  What a strange thing -- that message is in foreign language and the people addressed are Arabs (local)?"  Tell them: "This Al-Qur’ân is a guidance and a healing for those who bring Faith, but those people who do not bring Faith for them it is plug in their ears and a covering over their eyes.”  Their condition is such as they are being called from far away.  (R) 19

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ

45.            Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba faikhtulifa feehi walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum wainnahum lafee shakkin minhu mureebin
Before it WE had given the Book to Mûsa and the same dispute had arose about it.  If your Râbb had not already decided a thing then the matter would have been settled between disputants.  And the fact is that these people are in severe disturbing doubts about it.

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ أَسَاء فَعَلَيْهَا وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ

46.            Man AAamila salihan falinafsihi waman asaa faAAalayha wama rabbuka bithallamin lilAAabeedi
Whosoever will do righteous deeds he/she will do well for himself/herself, whosoever will do evil deeds its burden will be on him/her, and your Râbb is not unjust to HIS servants.
